Get well soon Leroy!

There's probably a bunch of trucks that just got brought in to the local Pull-a-Part...rare options, bucket seats, tow hooks, tilt columns, tach dashes...and your holed up on the couch...lol

On the bright side Wes he's probably resulted in over $300 worth of advertising here for you :)

Looks like we need to file a missing persons report on WES. Maybe this Scott Guthrie dude is rougher than we thought

Thanks for posting, seems odd that he was AWOL from the board after so much discussion and he was maybe gonna finally meet Scott last Tuesday. Had me a bit worried.... maybe he's just been extra busy with the new bundle o' joy.

Just found this awesome thread. Hope everything works out.

In my experience most contractor/construction guys are compulsive liars especially when it comes to a date and time they will show up. This guy sounds like he fits that mold.

If they show up when they say they will I'm very easy on them. :P But what I said is just based on my experiences. If you or someone you know shows up when they say they will then don't take any offense. I've been burned a few times is all.

I've been burned by small numbers of many different demographics over the course of my life, and the challenge is to not generalize any group. IBEW for 20 plus years, and I've been burned by plenty of customers. I don't hold it against all of them!

i have to say though. my dad has been in construction for about 15 years. when i was little i was "helping" him all the time. and i saw a lot of the construction people dont really care about what they did or didnt do on a job.. or getting to the job. my dad had to fire more then a few people  BUT i also saw a good amount of workers that were good at, and cared about their jobs.

anyway back on track, any update on the blazer?

After reading all these posts I've come to the conclusion that Wes is the modern day equivalent of Job. I sincerely hope you get your money back or wind up with the truck... but I'm guessing it's the boils for you next!

Re: Someone in Everett, WA.

I found this interesting .this guy has bought three things lately that are $1-$4 items . Hardware items. It may be a coincidence but the feedback on ebay is recent on three cheap items and now he is selling a truck. PayPal account required. Sounds like a down payment scam . I may be wrong but his ebay ID is scottibill from Everett, wash. Strikes me as maybe the same guy.
What do you guys think? Anyone know this ebayer ? If so let us know.

Frank

the guy has great feedback for well over 10 years, a verified paypal acount weeds out the flakes.....sometimes.

f.monroe 05-01-2013 12:09 AM

Re: Someone in Everett, WA.

It just seems suspicious that he has been idle since January and has three recent purchases for a few dollars then lists a truck. The fact that his Id is scottibill ,and is in the same town, seemed to be unusual.

I think Scott came, dropped off the Blazer and he talked Wes into joining a cult. So Wes joined that cult and we are all shunned for all the mean things we said or did to Scott. (sarcasim)

Give us a sign Wes!

Disappointing, I won't be so quick to blow up a phone in the future.

Maybe the potential scammer called the police on him and showed them this thread. Maybe he isn't allowed to post?

But the potential scammer would actually be calling the police on himself.

They already said his is a civil matter, what about encouraging telephone harassment? I'm not saying it's right, it just is a possibility.

BBrendal 05-03-2013 01:41 AM

Re: Someone in Everett, WA.

That would be like a crack buyer going to the police to report the guy sold me a drywall rock instead of a crack rock. The guy would have to know about this site, know Wes's handle and prove that Wes did the harrassing. The guy doesnt know Wes talked to the police and they said it was a civil mater. If he was trying to scam him Scott knows it and would want to stay far from the popo as he could. If Scott had Wes arrested its a misdomeaner so he would post a bond, get out and, at the vey least, get on this site and tell us to stop. I think!
