I've been trying to figure out how to attach a dog dish cap to my 5 lug rallys. I just had these leaning just right for the picture.

I'm interested in how to do this also. I read one member welded some "nubs" to the rims in order to make the caps "snap on". Also, their used to be a small business who started producing clips that would be attached to the rim to hold the cap in place, but I haven't been able to find a working number or website to order them from. Someone out there has done this before, wouldn't you think?

Took the hub caps off before I had new tires mounted. I’m liking it better without the caps.

Stock Hubcaps if those are stock nub wheels would look good...

You are correct, I’ve been looking for some stock hubcaps.

Pulled the caps off both trucks a while back, been doing a lot of cleanup work and trips to the landfill, recycling center, etc. and don’t want them getting damaged!

I like the stance on the 1/2 ton. Can’t tell from the angle of the picture but is it lowered any? Both trucks straight and clean.:metal:

Thanks, it’s all factory suspension with a 5 lug disc up front using stock height conversion spindles. I also swapped in a 5 lug posi rear from a 72 to match. The tires are 235 75 so they fill out the wheel wells nicely. I’m thinking about putting in 2” drop blocks just to level out the rear though. Your truck is clean and straight too, and love the color :metal:

leddzepp, I didn't know you had a K20. You need to keep me better informed.

This thread is interesting and the proof is in the longevity. It is 10 years old and still drawing attention.

Just bought the truck about 6 weeks ago, took off the full wheel covers. Gotta clean up and repaint the wheels.

Still mid build but here are my 15 X 8 rally's. Thinking of going to 15 X 10 with 4" BS in the rear because I want something a little wider and want the wheel/tire to come a little further in the wheel well. They just look too recessed to me. Anyone have any thoughts on that. Also I am running a 4 / 6 drop with drop spindles and springs in the front drop springs, C notch and flip kit in the rear

Having trouble posting pics...

C/10 King,

Are you finding stock steel rims and repainting or using aftermarket (Wheel Vintique) rims?

Also love the whitewalls. What brand and size please.

Seems like I read on the board that 90% of stock rims are 7" and very hard to find 8".

You have both dog dish caps and full size. Is there an aftermarket rim that works for both types?

Thanks for the help.

Stock Wheels

Stock Wheels are still out there, you just have to beat the bushes for them .

Utah has a lot of Desert so look in older junkyards, never waste time asking, you have to go do the dirty nasty work of searching through the HUGE piles of greasy, dirty, heavy, black widow infested old wheels & tires .

Got the Steelies powder coated and new tires on. 16X6.5 front. 16X8 rear. Tires are 235/70X16 and 255/70X16. 225/75X16 spare.

All are stock steelies, I recommend Coker tires, as I tried others, and 225/75/15 is the size I usually use. ;)
