Couple pics of whats been keeping me busy....
One stall left to frame in. Couple of wall footers and walls to build, but its getting there. Just 1-2 guys and no large equipment for all work so far. Got the fleetside pulled out and up and under the new roof. And the bike too. That's Austins 63 that will keep my fleetside company for a few months while I finish the stepside. |

No, no new vehicles. Have two acres here...so enough room for the 1800sq ft barn. Will be nice to get it completed and have a warm dry place to work as we got snow a few times this year and it really stalled my projects.

Old Man Winter has relented here and looks as if he has finally started his yearly vacation... Truck time shall resume...:bann: |
Re: 1963 C-10 in NC
Man the barn looks good. Now that it is warming up a little I need to get over to visit. I am a little frustrated with mine. I have had control arms on back order for a month. I need them so I can go back to work on the cab.

Cool. Be sure to stop over Saturday if you want. Have 3-4 62-63 c-10 owners that'll be on property.

Few pics of the updated barn build or my "truck barn" as the wife calls it. Back on the short stepper Saturday. Looking forward to swapping the hammer for some wrenches....
Started work on the last and final stall. Will be just around 500 sq feet. Built in work benches in the back corner that will give me 40sq feet of bench space on concreted in telephone poles. Should be stout. |
Re: 1963 C-10 in NC
I'm about 3 hours away from Fort Bragg.. Have some friends down there that we visit often. Would love to come see the truck and help you out anytime if you need it!

This is where I left off in October, so I am looking forward to some good truck work time this weekend. Won't take much to have her on the road. I have the remaining parts, so just have to put the time in.

A lot of much needed work done this weekend. Got the engine pulled and reinstalled for the last time. CPP mounts removed and will end up on the classifieds as I have no use for them. I'll use the same POL mounts for the 348 in the fleetside. Had to grind additional clearance for the 2nd time. This time for the POL mounts and more on the frame since we're now at 1 7/8" primary tubes. Mounts fit great and plenty of clearance on the mounts for the headers.
Also got the CPP trans tailshaft mount installed. Steering column is complete and floor shifter is in. |
