Re: 1968
Today, I did the other side of the bed walls with cariage bolts. I was going to use the same length for the front panel. But as I installed them I noticed that they were a little to close to the back of the cab. So, tomorrow I will go the Ace hardware and get some 3/4 inch long. I hope to get some 1''x1'' square tubibng next time I go to the welding shop. Then I can start building my raise floor 4 1/2''. I like the way it looked in a article that I read some time ago.

Re: 1968
Well, I got the front panel cartiage bolts installed. The bolts were too long. I had to cut the bolts off so they did not get in the way if I wanted to wash between the bed and cab in the future.

Re: 1968
Looking very nice, George! It's looking really good now, with the parts all coming together. You're an inspiration to do a little bit each day, eventually it all gets done.

Re: 1968
Today I recieved some more parts. Two brake lines that run from the master cly to the port valve. I tried to use advance auto brake lines. But they did not bend like the oem. so now I will replace the ones I bent.

Re: 1968
it's going to get down to 28 in the morning to cold to work on the old gal. So Nothing to post today.
I did pull my steering column off the truck. I got it ready for shipment to a guy that said he could make it work right. also ordered a rear window seal. Now I have all my glass seals, so when I get her painted I can install the glass. any tips on this?????????/ |
