I send a pray to the both of you;
It has been so cold(no snow) just wind n cold.
I have not been doing much in the shop on the build.
Once it start to warm up I have alot of work to do to get started.
Enjoy your time with the boys.as they grow up fast.

We really did Tim. At 5 years old I had to clean the cooling fan on the Mack when Dad replaced the headgaskets. I’ve been hooked every since. Thank you for your prayers!

We get a lot of Ralphie from the Christmas Story comments. And we really appreciate the extra hands too.

Burb project is still on pause, though I am starting to get more enthused to continue on. Grandsons have been asking... wife is fighting hard and holding stable. Praise the Lord!

We’ve had the front of the shop jammed with stuff since we’ve been busy with some upgrades to the back half of the shop.

Feel free to check it out if you haven’t already.

God is amazing. It's sad that so many people are non-believers..:waah:..anyway...just realized that your 'Burb was a police vehicle? Interesting...

Re: 48 Burb, bagged, 5.3, 20 year wait

Thank you Guys! The prayers are appreciated!

DeeJay, I think the burb was an Air Force vehicle as it had USAF stenciled on the firewall with evidence of USAF blue paint. So, the air police on the header and doors may have been from that time.

Thanks guys. Prayer does help and we give Him the glory!

Following your builds and updates really helps too. And you guys are motivating me to get back on the burb.

Soon I will need to change the title to be a 48 Burb, bagged, 5.3 and a 24 year wait....

And I have another truck to do something with.

That would be awesome! Remember seeing it advertised last year and will look for date and location info now.

September 18 Franklin IN. Maybe others could make it too? Henry, Jim, Marc, Mark....And the long distance award goes to...:)

I am trying to make it to the Nationals. Can't say if I'll have my truck back on road or not. I actually designed their shirt this year and will be printing them. Its about 450 miles from me I think.

Doug

Looks like 250 miles and under 4 hrs. for me. Two problems: 1 - the date is in the fall when I will be coaching youth football and 2 - I might not have my 48 by then (and we know my 53 wont be ready either..ha ha).

I will keep it in mind though....

Marc

if you keep on keeping what follows you home you will never get your project done. lol. you gotta find a storage place somewhere to keep all that stuff so you don't get tempted to dissassemble..........
nice find though.

Dsraven...you are so right! I did create more storage space in the back half of the shop that will help when I just can’t say no. Must not take apart...must not take apart....

Doug;

I just back from the "Pate Swapmeet" in Dallas TX.
I went down on Thur, 12 hr drive from Grants NM.
Went there on Friday, found - fenders lower grille support - upper grille support- hood latch panel for the 57 panel I have had on back burner.
Still need the rt&ft pillar assy.
Looks like I will have to get them from Classic Chevy Trucks at 325 each side.
I got both fenders n bars for 700. 1 is a NEW fender the other is used with NO rust the grille support are used as is the latch bar.
I can how strip the both off the 78 chevy pu,n use that frame with as much steering, brake parts as needed.
Have some different ideals for the body, will explain as I try to show what I want to try to do. I have a couple of rusty fender as donners! !
Have a 55 hood that I want to try to pancake it for the 57 panel.
Will post photos tomorrow as I'm very tired tonight n still have to unload the truck tomorrow.
Just drove back today 11hr, with no C C to help. :waah:

I might be interested in the meet at Franklin In in Sept ??
Will just have to see how the budget is ! ! ! ;) ;)

Tim, I was wondering how you made out at the swap meet. Sounds like some good score! Look forward to you build updates! Wow, Franklin IN would be a serious hike for you. Be cool if you could make it!

Boys and I stopped by a shop where a friend was straightening out the electronics on a buggered up Ram Jet. He had it running in a little bit.
