That night, after those pics were posted, I was up around 0330 with all kinds of little jobs bouncing off the ole brain walls…:haha:
As I posted earlier, now to list and prioritize all those bouncing thoughts...

This morning, before the oppressive heat and humidity kick in, I decided to get the Accelerator Pedal mod started… Many thanks to markeb01 (page 5 of his epic build) for an awesome write-up on this mod...:mm:
As previously posted, I sourced a free set-up from a friend that had parted out an 85-87 cab…

The wheel Merry-Go-Round continues...:uhmk:

I was originally going to run some 15's that a friend gave up cheap, then traded for some 20's after realizing that the U-Bolts on the rear would hit before the rim in the event of a flat...:sumo:

Not wanting to chance that, the 20's were an even trade, although I wasn't a fan of that style wheel, the no out-of-pocket aspect was alluring…;)

When the boy showed up Father's Day with a friend of his, that has an 85 square body, the friend offered to buy the 20's...

After a day or 2 of thought, I shot him a price and the immediate response was, "SOLD" :bann:

I've always liked the old school Cragar SS wheels and needing at least a 17" wheel to deal with the lowering in the rear, I decided to go with the Torque Thrust by American Racing…

Going with the 18" Anthracite...:bann:

Sounds like that wheel deal was a no-brainer. I like the new wheel choice much better, & I'm sure you will too. Hard to beat a timeless 5-spoke!:metal:

Don I love this wheel choice I think they are one of my favourite wheels

http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...psh4wmix0w.jpg

I will try and paint the ones I got in the same style with a dark grey spoke and polished rim

Agreed, you can't beat 5 spokes with grey spokes and a polished rim, I'm going to paint the spokes on my 20's grey to try to copy this style, I'll just have one spoke to many:dohh:
