Still working on cleaning up the wiring for the cruise control, EFI and the gauges while trying to finish the plumbing in my shop. Here's a shot of the gauges in Red...:smoke:.

Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)
Rob, are the bim modules similar for the hdx as to the vhx clusters?

I'm about done wiring up the cruise control. What a pain in the butt to have to use 2 relays to make the Dakota Digital switch (HND-3) work with the DBW setup, :(. (write up by here ACKATTACK: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...se+control+db2) On a more positive note, I talked to my contact at Dakota Digital about the problem using the switch, so look for a new switch in the future that you won't have to add relays to in order for it to work properly, :metal:. I also got most of the plumbing done on the shop. Getting closer to sheetrock time!!!! |
Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)
Are you plumbing compressed air?

*** Cruise control is wired and tested (Hopefully it works when I get the truck running, :ito:). I finally finished the gauge wiring and installed the cluster in the dash. Got the tilt steering column installed for hopefully the last time. I also made a bracket to hook up an E-Brake switch. I wired the switch to the gauge cluster warning light that will notify me when/if I leave the emergency brake on, :metal:. Here's the thread on how to do the E-Brake switch setup: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=425922 |

Devil is always in the details.. Amazing how long that list is, and how much each little item can take.
You are getting there Rob, no doubt about it.. Good inspiration for the rest of us to push to the end! |
