I think the 235/80s would look great on that Longhorn.

I'd like to never use those 36' poles (24' + 12' aluminum) ever! I'd like to not be needing to own scaffold or a truck with ladder racks. It's not that often now. I lost my fearless trait along the way. Still have the boat legs, but those muscles sure got sore.

36' poles. I've done it but not now.

I think I told you, I gave my pump jacks to a young guy that worked for us. He has even hung it up now. He went to work for a fiberglass manufacturer. It's a shame, he is a fine craftsman.

I think people don't use their turn signal because they already know they are turning.

My wife had a K2500 Suburban.

I bought the Suburban for me, and parked it in the garage until I could sell my truck.

In the meantime, she started driving the 'burb. When I sold the truck she said "Why don't you get something else and I will keep the Suburban?"

Well I got all kinds of mad, and I though to myself this is ridiculous, and a man shouldn't have to put up with this. So you know what I did. I went out and found myself something else to drive.

In some states that would be considered a sexist comment.:lol::lol:

But very true. We have a large employer of office workers I pass in the morning and the people you speak of pass me on the way every morning doing just that.

You are correct, some people will call you names for simply speaking about what you observe.:uhmk:

That's not sexist. Either sex could be doing make-up (in some states)

Or... I see guys using shavers, too. Better image there, right? Ok, now it's even. :bs:

I did think that too, but, someone is some state would think that would be considered transphobic.;)

I dont really care what they are doing if they just get out of the Left lane so we can get somewhere . LaneRangers Piss me off ,get in the left lane right next to another car or truck so nobody can go.

Slow pokin in the fast lane is not awesome.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

Here in Ga its seems to be a new thing to drive in the left lane at all times to slow traffic down .Even my State Trooper buddy says the same thing ,he hits the Blues and they move over .

Re: My Facetruck thread.

I call them left lane lovers. In the '80s I first noticed it going toward Baltimore in the morning on I-70. It hits the Beltway (I-695) and ends, but the left lane continues over and takes you to a Blvd that takes you to both the Social Security Administration and Medicare/Medicaid... huge federal campuses. I started noticing those left lane lovers were people going there. They get on the hiway 35-30 miles up the road and grab the left lane to be set up for their exit, just staring straight ahead. I figure it was that entitlement mentality and looking at that golden ring 20 years ahead. Now we have that entitlement mentality spread out all over. Me me me me, I I I, combined with no self awareness, or some mixture of both. Take a look around is what I always say. You will find there are other people out there with the same needs.

I had no idea you guys would get so emotional about my turn signal sig.

But I agree with you.

Boog 11-24-2018 07:29 AM

Re: My Facetruck thread.

Those drivers that just sort of hover at the corner of your car for miles irritate me and the wife. They may be in the other lane but will not go around you or fall behind you. Especially when I want to change lanes and I speed up to move ahead to make the lane change or slow down to make the change and every move I make they do the same, signals or not.
Sometimes if no one is close behind me I just jamb on the brakes and make the other guy go on out of my way so I can move over.

Usually the other driver looks to be totally clueless. Totally.

special-K 11-24-2018 08:37 AM

Re: My Facetruck thread.

WHO'S EMOTIONAL??? I just HATE non-turnsignallin' drivers!!! That's all!
Listen to this guy. He has it all figured out

How about when the guy ahead hits his brakes, you wonder what's up and hit yours, too. Then when you are really slowed down the turn signal comes on so that now you know why you were coming close to stopping. Thanks, so helpful!

Some people are a-holes and some people are oblivious to their own actions, like impulsive. I used to set my cruise at 72 mph out on I-70. I found that many people when you come up to their door will speed up, like you are waking them up from lagging. Then they get out ahead and let off. I catch up, they speed up, then let off. I catch... over and over. All the while I am steady at 72. I only want to pass because I ran up on them. Now I'm the guy stuck in the left lane blocking it up. I have to stomp it to get out ahead and get over, settle back to 72.

Talk about hovering. You mean the people who cause the accidents out on interstates on bright sunny dry days when it leaves you wondering how anyone could have an accident on a straight limited access hiway? It's my fault if I change lanes over into someone that happens to be in my blind spot as they were passing. That's why we are to be checking our mirrors to know our surroundings, who's doing what, not just when you want to change lanes. But if I hit someone because they have been running along in that spot long enough that I missed them in a scan or two it's their dumbass fault... in the true reality of things. It's up to us to look out for our own safety. Blind spots are a reality we all "should be" aware of, but maybe some never heard of that. Stay back or pass. It's really that simple. Billions of dollars spent so we can all travel at different speeds and one moron can put all that to waste. (just making conversation here )

How to deal with slow drivers... and have a GMC driver set a Jeeper straight!! (notice the twerp doesn't use turn signals)
