I'm not as young as I use to be, took me 3-1/2 hours to change out a leaking power steering pump. Glad that's over with.

That looks good. I agree that a couple inches in the front would be even better.

Been busy, over the past 4-5 days. Driving down the street the oil psi gauge sprung a leak and shot hot oil all over my legs and hands. The PO had over torqued the fitting and ruined it so I had to replace the gauge. I installed this triple setup instead. Still fresh back from the powdercoater I finished up installing the grill, park lights, rear, and backup light bezels. Yes…………. those are step side back up lights. Still had troubles with the front turn signals so I scored a headlight switch and a pair of fleetside backup light sockets and glass lenses from the junk yard. Got all the electrical issues fixed and in working order. Also added a jumper wire so my front parklights are now running lights as well as turn signals. SWEET!

I taped up, prepped and spray painted the outside frame around the vent window glass on the driver side... and painted the exterior side of the vent window assembly as well.

Tomorrow, the fun part... putting it back together.

aggh.

I put one tranny cooler line in becuase I forgot my double flaring tool. I also started it up again. I also set one of the exaust pipes I had under it and it is way off seeing it came out of my short bed. I will just build new ones. I also put the hood back on with the help of my Irish buddy.

Fabricated a panel to fit between the splash pans for mounting backup lights next to the license plate. Tuesday I’ll take it to the local sheet metal shop and have them fold the edges in a brake.

I think it might actually look better than having the tank show from the rear as seen here:

Here’s the panel with and without the lamps:

And here is where the lights will reside once the panel is completed:

Man, I like that idea MB. Thanks for sharing. I have been trying to think of a good way to mount backups without cutting holes in the bed sides.

lucky you. I got my corners and rockers from the auto fair at Charlotte about 4 yrs ago, and just got around to replacing them this week. the corners fit ox with some massaging(sp?) the drivers rocker fit after some modifications, and the passenger--well lets just say after some knuckle bleeding and some sailor words its on the truck now. I would not reccomend these--but i don't remember the company name i bought them from.

I do need to get one for the bottom of the door, and mabye the lower door skin anyone tried LMC (i think that's it) patch pannels, if so how do they fit.

Watched it rain alot and then sanded my grill support piece and ran the 1/2" front airline to behind the cab and cycled the bags a few times and checked for leaks.

Very impressive - as expected! Really like the white border and the bumper guards, makes it look authentic.

I`m going to have to cut the exhaust as they run over the axle inbetwen the panhard bar bracket and frame, I `m like a quarter of an inch from the exhaust now that is lower, any body trim rubber their stops in the rear, that might have to be done as well.
