Re: 1968
Today I went down to Tarpon Springs and seen a fellow board member. He rebuilt my steering column. What a difference it made. I also got all the right parts for my shifter from the column to the transmission. I also got a new rag joint and I hope to install It this week in. Got so much to do I don't know what to do first.
This is what I will want to install this week. steering column steering shaft rag jointshifter from column to transmission If I get these parts installed it will be a lot done. The key work is IF |
Re: 1968

Nothing done on the old girl today. I had to do some more honey do's. Installed a new sink and faucet in the kitchen. Got a new 50'' flat screen led tv and a new computer. Now I know she will be happy. The computer was over due.

Drove past your town yesterday, should of stopped and helped you mow! Stuck in Mississippi now, waiting for weather to get better to make back home to Illinois. Truck is looking good and all that attention your putting into those small parts will set it off nicely. Here's a picture to keep you cool while you mow. Dave.

Re: 1968
Today I set up the hood to paint the underside. I was shocked on how much sand was still left in the ribs when I sand blasted it. I took my air nozzle and blew it out before I painted the primer. but still there is more sand. I would like to remove the sand entirely before I paint the orange on the underside. I don't want and sand to get in the fresh paint. any ideas guys. Would water remove the sand. or would that make a even more of a mess. I have been installing new doors in a friends house, so I haven't done anything on the truck.

Re: 1968
Today, I started sanding on the underside of the hood. It seems like a ton of sand got on the fresh primer. It has been raining for two days here. But I will take the rain over the snow any day. Still blowing sand out of the ribs on the underside of the hood. Maybe soon I can paint the underside and install it back on the truck.
