Re: Slosh Tubz new company project "Square Peg" frame laying 1987 GMC Jimmy

Have you put any miles on the truck yet? I ask because I'm curious about the heat build up from the coil packs under your faux valve covers. I know it was brought up previously but now that the truck is done I was just curious if you had noticed anything related to that.

My brother is running some of the later style coils that have heat sinks on the top of each of them but he did some testing with one of my sets which don't and he noticed mine without sinks were noticeably warmer than his set with sinks. Considering I've got two straight six covers waiting for this same mod, I was hoping I didn't need to buy the heat sink style coils on top of it!

-Panelrodder

BTW, I saw the truck at SEMA as well and it was probably my favorite of the show because I had followed the build here on the forum!

Not a problem at all! I was glad to help!
and it's funny you say that! she actually gets that quite frequently, even had people freak out thinking it was her.

I was wondering if you'd gotten Momma in it before the weather went to hell. Keeping it clean for show season? Are you gonna be at the Devlin/Starbird show in Wichita?

Wow, it's been a month already past the Sema show. It takes a while to decompress from all the followup after a show like that.

Here is the long over do interview with Mike discussing his build. It's been great to be a part yet another fantastic build. Next job Mike!

What happened to the '55 Eldog? And what r you looking for in a '88-'98 C1500? A perfect one-owner, or just a straight hull? You want a high-option truck, or just heat-n-keys?

Cool video!! And I'm almost certain the guy at 1:55 in the video is Jesse Plemons who used to be on Friday Night Lights (Landry - if you watched the show).
