Cheyenne Super man used to sell the aluminum panels for the glovebox doors.

Nice pieces! As a min, I would clearcoat them, to protect from scratches

Thanks Keith! I finished connecting all of my AC vent hoses and then installed the Vintage air glovebox liner (PITA). I also put on the glovebox door just to see how everything looks. I'm debating on whether or not I want to do the wood grain on it and the gauge bezel. I kinda like the way everything looks as is.... I still have some time to figure that out.

Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)

I'd say leave it as is (it looks really good now), but you've got wood grain door panels, so it might be really cool to have the glove box and gauge panel match. You'll know what to do after you look at it with the door panels installed.

I think I will for right now. Easy enough to change later. I did order my carpet. Currently waiting on some parts and then I will be able to install the fenders for the last time and hopefully get the hood and grill installed....

Thanks! We finally had a nice day last Saturday so while I was out doing some data logging for the motor tune I stopped and took some pictures.

Looks great man. You must be itching to get that thing buttoned up at this point. Throw that front end together and hood on. At least you don't have to wait for the "good" weather to drive that truck.

Nick

I'm still waiting for a few parts before I can put it all back together for good. It suxs that 2 small pieces are causing the delay, but I'm just trying to be patient. I've almost finished installing about 300 square feet of Fatmat on the interior and I just got my carpet in. So I have some things to work on. It's taken 12 years to get this point, what's a few more months....

Looks great! That's a serious ton of fatmat. Should be nice and quiet.

I'm trying to decide if my headliner should be white or black? Thoughts? Keep in mind, black carpet, black door panels with wood grain...

Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)

The white looks clean

Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)

I second the white.

Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)

The black would make it pretty dark in the interior.... I like the white :chevy:

Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)

I am for the black, mostly because anything white on an interrior for me ends up black not to long after the install.

Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)

I would have gone white with everything, but DEFINITELY would keep the headliner white. Would look like a coffin in there with your bright, jazzy paint job outside. Doesn't make sense. Keep it bright with contrast.

Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)

The white looks good but the black will look a lot more finished with everything else.
The white will clash with the seat inserts being that it appears much brighter than them.
So I will vote for black.

This is exactly what I see being the problem, other than black I think will make the interior too dark. Is there a way that you can make some design using both colors?
