Both trucks look really good! Solid, any other pics of yours? What would it cost to have your grill chromed? Maybe one bazillion dollars? :)

Love that Primer red. My 1st truck a 66 Chevy long bed was primer red and grey for the longest until my uncle painted it green. Are you riding air bags or static?

I have 15 inches of vacuum but you do have a smaller engine. My brakes work great and it idles in gear with a stock convertor. It also works fine with stock valve springs because of the lift. But if you don't like the idle you can go smaller. I run the High Energy 268H Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshaft Only
Lift: .454''
Duration: 268°
RPM Range: 1500-5500
Jegs 12-210-2
The smaller cam is the 260 degree 440 lift but pretty well idles smooth.

Thanks for the info. Sorry I took forever to remember to come back to this thread. Your truck sounds GREAT. What exhaust are you running? Pipe size and mufflers?

51 set up old school static no bags, But it would be killer laid out. 350/350 truck has 2500 miles on build. GM clipped with 2.73 rear built to DRIVE!. Too many in the heard, this one has to go. Hate too but this one has to go.

No rust, all you see is the real deal Patina.

Either way your tires would be the same size. It's all about offsets. When I did my truck I plan the backspacing on my wheels accordingly and have no rubbing problems due to turning or cornering.

I've just joined your forum and would like to share some pictures of my families 1959 Canadian Built Short box Fleetside.

It's in now for a restoration but these pictures are what I drove to have it done.

Thanks mud.man!
good eye on the Sask plates. Regina and area truck for longer than we have had it. Trying to track down who had it in the 60's... nothing confirmed yet.

Go to my build thread http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=686989 if you want more information and/or wish to see it on it's next stage.

I hope it's ok to post a picture of my truck without a proper introduction.
I bought it when I was 16 years old in 1978 and drove it to high school.
It's been through several transformations in the last 35+ years. This is the
latest. 1950 GMC Thanks! Steve

First post.... my work in progress For now I call it "World truck". It has parts from:
Japan (Supra JZA80 IFS,IRS, Brakes etc)
Canada (Cab, box, etc)
Italy/Slovenia (Engine, torque tube, gearbox, most of the interior)
USA (wheels)
Jamaica (Engineering, Sweat, elbow grease)
Color, step and one piece windows are Photoshopped
I know the wheel is not centered in the wheel housing, has been corrected after this mockup.

Haha Lets just say for now that it has paddle shifters, a manual 6 speed gearbox, and the engine looks very similar to this. As far as a build thread i am swamped with work and working on this thing so it will have to wait for a while.
