No more suspense JD, I will still be on the forum, just in a different area. I'M GOING TOPLESS!!!!!:lol: How yall like that 90's paint!?!?!? It has a 383 with a 700r in it that hasn't run or seen daylight for years, got her fired up today and took it around the block........she screams!!!!:devil:

And here is a little jewel we found in the back of the property. 73 with almost zero rust, slots, PERFECT top, no dents in the body and a sweet set of buckets with the old school console..........drooooooool!!!!!! We are going back to pick this up in two weeks for my buddy....yes I am trying to talk him into selling it to me.

The 72 runs awesome!! Little 383 has lots of power, did my first official burn out in it......the black mark well be there for a while. :metal:

Been reading for two days on this thread and only gotten to this point so far, page 101, and didn't even start at the very beginning and saw what you said about Haggerty. They insure my Blazer for much more than I paid. I don't have air suspension and maybe they figure the flames (fairly extensive, I think) don't qualify as special paint. BTW, I got to this thread from your current Blazer thread. I now understand why you'd scrap the 72 clip or a 67.....understand it but don't agree with it.......lol - I love those egg crates! Keep up the great work!

Well thank you for taking the time and going through the build!!! I understand that Haggerty is concerned with bagged trucks dragging the paint off and bending metal then making claims, which is totally legit. Although, they did not want to hear that mine did not lay frame so they didn't even give me a chance!! Being that my paint was 3 stage is what they were looking at on "custom" and at $2k a gallon can't say I blame them!!:lol: As for the front end swap, we'll call it paying homage to my truck and the fact that the slope nose looks a little cleaner with the windsheild at a more aggressive angle. I respect your view as well!! BTW, sweeeet Blazer ya got too!!!

What is it about the Houston area and C10's?? I've been out to Tomball and Katy...there were C10's all over the place
