If that engine is original in the '60, which it "looks" like it is, it's really a 348.

Has a nice Factory Tach.

Dip stick is on the drivers side will indicate the 348.

I've heard truck W oil pan sticks may follow a different pattern than the car W's do. Can anyone verify that?

My '65 C80 409 has the dipstick on the right (passenger) side. It is positively original.

I checked with the 348-409 boys and was told that most later 348 Truck Engines have 409-style pans and dipsticks.

As mentioned, I had heard something was different somewhere, lol.
