Steve Leonard ran this from 70 ish til he passed earlier this year.
Jake Wheeler has it now and intends to keep it as it ran. Figures it has near 4m miles on running local in the bay area. Top photo was this week. Middle was from October 2018. And not sure about the bottom.. |
Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
Great photos KOOL IT, I believe I may have seen that Pete a couple of times. A true narrow nose classic.

1961 REO 4x4 on Craigslist. Not my truck. I wonder if it started it's career as a wrecker or maybe it worked for a house moving company.
https://portland.craigslist.org/clk/...605166650.html REO truck, 4x4, gold comet 400 cu. in. gas motor, 7 spd. transmission, air brakes, PTO winch out front, gin pole bed on back with PTO winch that's not hooked up. Runs and drives, tires are old and not road worthy. $3,500. No title, have lien release papers somewhere. Not a military truck Project Not diesel |

I was thinking how long it's been since I posted a truck picture. I waited long enough

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
The sleeper is a little on the small size, lol.
That truck reminds me of a truck I saw yesterday on the interstate while traveling to a swap meet. It was as nice as the truck above, but had polished aluminum fenders. Quite the impressive truck. |
Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
That is quite the rig. I can't imagine getting around with that. Just getting fuel at your average truck stop would be a challenge and a half.

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
High center the trailer? That's only if the truck clears! That's a lot of extra front axle weight

I saw this one on display at the local Jubitz truck stop. I really like the KB series Internationals. My first truck was a 47 KB 5.

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
Big truck, KB8, but strange that it only has Hydraulic Brakes. Or is that a mis-label?

Forgive me for all the bad things I said about the Dodge trucks, they just took awhile to grow on me

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
With those Dual Stacks, good chance it's Detroit Powered.
|
Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
A real Bighorn. I'd bet on a Detroit under that nose. Dodge sure got a lot of use out of that cab

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
Classy. I wonder if it's a town vehicle. The door marking looks like it could be a town seal
