Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)
once the covers are on you wont be able to see the harness and grommet. i also got a new heater core today and i tried to get it in so i could get the heater box mounted but ran into problems getting the old heater core out. really bad day out in the garage! friday the 13th for sure. tried to do a number of other things like the oil and temp sending units and everything i touched just went to hell so i decided to quit before i did some "remodeling" to the garage!
tomorrow morning will be better;) |

Your truck is coming along nicely. I looked back through most of the posts but I can't find what color is on it , is it lazer red?
|
Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)
it is called red jewel tri coat or tint coat. i had the painter use the bigger pearl in it so its deeper and richer looking. same basic color as the new camaros and tbss'.

Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)
...the TBSS's quit being manufactured over a year ago.

Is that steering shaft just a "cut to fit" piece. Looks nice.

Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)
I didn't see anywhere but did you get 20x8.5 all the way around or did you get 20x10 for the rear. I was thinking about getting the 20x10 for the rear but wasn't sure if there would be any fitment issues.

Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)
Sorry to hear your Fri. the 13th was like my today. Totally know the feeling about everything you touch going to crap. I was lucky enough to put a nice scratch in pass. side fender while trying to dissassemble the heater a/c box not more than 30 min. ago.
Guess I'm gonna have to get some fender cover for wrenching on that thing. I really like the attention to every part on your truck. It will be better than a new ride when your done. Keep the pics coming! Looks great! |
