Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
Although a GM fan, those Big Fords are impressive.
Starting all the way back in the late 40's with the F-8. |

1969 (shown) was the end of the line of this styling first introduced in 1961. Boy are these grain trucks clean!

I'll take the blue AND the green one!

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
A friend of mine had a F-800 Tandem with a Knuckle Boom on it. The impressive thing about it was the 5 X 4 Trans.

Another 3 axle dump from the era. Rear tires must have been a strange sight back then.

I guess for sand? Dual wheels suck in sand. Who can argue there is something sexy about a tandem dump by any of the Big 3?
At the sawmill up the road, this guy Fast Eddie keeps his dump trucks. He works on them out there year 'round. He's just a simple hard working salt of the earth country boy who runs hand me down trucks. Does the best he can. He's now got two of these International Eagles. I really like this old road warrior. You can tell it was once someone's pride and joy, now Fast Eddie's pride and joy. The artwork must have been done when the truck was new. That's my friend "Jack of Arts", Chuck Gamber's, work. It shows how good the truck once looked |

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
Interesting truck. Like the 5 X 3 but surprised it doesn't have Air Brakes. I did a little research and GMC had them as early as 1931 on some models. History says they were first available in some trucks in 1922.

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
I'm gonna need to bring a bigger trailer to pick up that beauty. Price is still pretty low, curious to see what it goes for.

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
That's a fine piece of GMC Truck history. I'd love to have it, too. I hope some knucklehead doesn't buy iy to hack it into some kind of emasculated play toy. That's ATHS/ATCA material, if not a museum

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
Nice truck. Looks like a V-8 Gas by the side emblem.

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
Most likely it is gas

Some pretty impressive trucks there. I figured that B-77 was pretty rare and a quick research shows that they only made 113 of them.

Perfect example of why modern aerodynamic fiberglass trucks are of no interest to me.

I'm interested in the anteaters bringing products I use to market. Definitely no romance there
