That is interesting! I’ve never seen one before and is an option if needed.

I love the copper nickel brake line, easy to work with and doesn't rust. Very affordable. You can get it online for dirt cheap. Some local parts store carry it around me also.

I dont know...there's just something about npt on brake fittings that doesn't seem right....working in industry I've seen more than my share of broken npt fittings...even with the banjo npt ...
Hard to believe Wilwood uses that...

A friend has been using it successfully and so will try it out. I ordered mine from inline tube.

I feel same about NPT ...these parts will get us there for bending, flaring and layout. Can always change the connection before final assembly.

Get a few more parts and some paint on the engine and this will be looking decent.

I have the second option you are showing on my Willwoods. 3 years 18,000mi no problems.
Organizing parts and how things will get put together is 3/4 of building the truck, you have been busy.

Thanks 99, there will still be plenty to do! And we’ve added in some wiring and crimping, as well as brake line forming seminars. Should be fun.

Thanks lower. Is the one on the left the connection you are using?

I don’t think so Greg. There was a lot of excitement about snow quantity here Friday night into Saturday. This morning it is almost gone. The media and people whip it into a frenzy. Last build like this we did the temp’s were similar and we kept the shop at 60 degrees.

Doing this for Cindy so I am sure it will work out.

Doug — I’m really looking forward to the event! I was in SoCal a couple days this week enjoying great weather, then came home to Colorado for cold and snow. Heading to northern Virginia tomorrow - cold and snow! Then Friday morning a quick flight to Indy and some weenie rental car to head your way for more cold and snow. No escaping it apparently!

I just have to figure out how to pack everything - slacks, sport coat, winter and garage clothes, and maybe my welding helmet. Not sure my carry-on bag will do the trick! One way or another I’ll be there. Fire that garage heater up! :metal::metal::metal:

TSA will probably be watching you pretty close! Heat is on and will be comfy. Looking forward to meeting you Scott!

Here is the design on the back of the black T shirts.

Thanks, gotta give my friend Jeff credit for the design. Thinking I maybe should have got more than 50 of them...

This will be one of the small raffle prizes.

After 35 years with GM, I have elected to retire and I am hanging up my name badges.

Now I will have time to really focus on projects and perhaps improve my skills in the shop.

Sweet! Congratulations! I retired 18 months ago but don’t sit still very well. Lots of projects and other activities, a little pt work behind the Cabela’s gun counter, and I still fell for the pitch when a small consulting gig came my way. I’m supposed to be limiting to 15 hrs/week - gotta work on that.

With all your projects I’m sure you’ll do better than I have.

Doug, dont know if you have your grounding kit figured out but I just got one of these from American autowire
It basically separates it into 3 sections via the junction blocks.
Front, center and rear of vehicle, this way you dont have to run ground from the back all the way to front separately.
Found cheaper on Amazon $130

Thanks for the kind words guys!

Mark, that looks like a nice kit and worth checking into. Appreciate the head’s up!

So, since I retired I bought a retirement truck. It goes well with the trailer.
