Congrats! Leon is a great guy. We had dinner with him and his family a couple years ago.

Yes he is. He has family near us so we'll have another opportunity to do dinner or a car show or something!

That's how we ended up meeting up, he was down to see the grand kids. We should try to get a few from the board together for dinner next time he is down.

Absolutely. 77chris03 would meet with us also. There are a few others that would join in.

Slacker67 here with an update!! Truck was running really bad and couldn't figure it out, so I enlisted the help of some old school hot rodders and they helped me over the phone. Seems that the camel-hump heads were made with no bolt holes on the fronts up to 1968, so therefore they used the old compression washer style spark plugs. I was running the tapered type. New plugs and she rocks! Now I am more inclined to moving forward with the interior. Should have some material in about 2 weeks. I don't have any pics but there isn't a whole lot to prove! Maybe a video this Friday of her running right. Till then enjoy this lovely picture of Santa's reindeer.......

Already filled out the registration!!

Lone Star Throwdown
Feb.24-26,2012
Lone Star Expo Center
Montgomery County Fair Grounds
9255 Airport Rd.
Conroe,TX. 77303

LONE STAR THROWDOWN CUSTOM CAR , TRUCK AND BIKE SHOW Feb 24-26,2012 Just a little info on who’s behind this show for some people that dont know the story! It came about when Todd (Radar) Hendrex and Lonnie Ford were sitting around talking about all the old shows that they have been to thru out the years. Thats when they decided to THROWDOWN one of the shows that would bring it all back to what really started this whole scene. Plain and simple this show is going to bring back that old school swing of just hanging out with good friends and showing off our rides! Don’t miss out on one hell of a THROWDOWN!

Got a few little parts today at Outback, nice to have them so close to home! Overflow bottle has a washer style lid on it but luckily I have a dual hose lid to make it into an overflow. Got my trim on the brake/gas pedal, new knobs for the radio and instrument cluster. Vent widow locks and kick panels.

Sweet! But whicha bottle for whata? I C the glass one and the plastic washer bottles. How you gonna do that again?
Yeah man, I'd love to C your truck someday. Wish I had more 67-72 chevy truck guys to hang out with up here. I see a truck every once and a while, but don't always have time to stop. Planning to make up some website business cards with my username on them to hand out or put under windshields, so they can check out the site and look me up.

Plastic for the overflow and the glass is an original anti-freeze bottle. We are spoiled down here, I see at least one 67-72 everytime I go runnin around on the weekend. The cards are a cool idea, I might just have to steal your idea!!!

It was great! I was a bit nervous when you asked me if I wanted to take it for a spin but it was completely awesome. Thanks again! We're gonna have to get a video up of you driving mine :metal:

The truck is absolutely amazing in person. Glad I got the chance to see it (and drive it!) before I head back to school.

Thanks Bondo!!! When I got it there were some generic dogdish hubcaps on it, well 2 of them. As for the logos, guess you mean the emblems? It had the fender, hood, and door emblems, originals. I found some hubcaps and will post where I found for ya.
