Thanks guys ! Here are a few more console pictures , the part in the front that runs under the dash has a lift off cover and will house the brains for the Dakota Digital and Painless and MSD parts so it will be easily accessible. The upholstery work will reshape and take away some of the hard lines in this

if you make a small edge to keep everything on it from sliding it would be a nice place to put a small pop up tft screen or small size laptop/tablet for video navigation websurfing (when standing still) and reverse cam

Everything looks good. I used Precision Products on my son's truck. Their stuff is nice. I have the vent window seals, but his original ones where in good shape after a good cleaning. I might find a spare set of vent window assemblies and send them off to them for rework. Do you mind telling me what that would cost?

Wow! What an awesome sheen on that red truck.

;)

Mike, I noticed in the pic with your lovely wife the amount of room in the wheel well you have. What width of rim are you planning to stuff in there? Is it similar in the back?

Got some great new parts in yesterday, if you want to smooth your firewall completely off but still need wipers look at this universal wiper set up from SPW (Specialty Power Windows) pretty sweet setup !

Tires came in yesterday also , thank you Atturo tires !

Re: Slosh Tubz new company project "Square Peg" frame laying 1987 GMC Jimmy

they often use the wiperset of an old mini cooper for that in europe both on kitcars and hotrods , and they sell simulair sets in the states its a remote wipermotor and a toothed push pull cable basicly you can add the capstands to about any place on the wire hide the motor behind the dashboard and still have good working wipers
with the custom paneling you build inside the enginecompartment you might want to put it inside one of the innerfenders though as they make some noize when placed inside the passingercompartment

they allso seen removeable wiperarms once on a high priced customcar that gave a realy slick look
you might be able to make sunting like that using a stock type wiperarm and keepin them on the capstands with cotterpins
http://www.lynchpinexporter.com/images/side_photo.jpg
dril the hole for them through the wiperarms and capstands so they only mount one way else they might rotate to far out or in and damage the paintjob or the wipermotor
in normal use take the wiperarms off and mount/click a small chromed cover over the capstands
