Re: Daverods project 66

It was 65 today, snows still in the mountains. River was ice cold. Been raining for about a month. It was good to get out and see all my old haunts.;) Should have took my boat and should have drove my 64. We have welding schools. ISU cheap.

Ya, he's right it does snow a bunch. 6 to 7 feet deep and it's cold really cold, and dark, real dark. I think it's so dark Bubba has to use a sun lamp to keep from going crazy. So unless you like to sled or board in the dark-n-cold you better just stay down there in the heat. Oh ya and the elk are so big here they'll hunt you.:lol: And bears too...big ones. Ever hear of big foot?:lol:

Re: Daverods project 66

Yep! I do have a sun lamp , right here by my computer. Imported from Norway to prevent winter depression caused by low sunlight levels.
I have to use it all winter till about June , or I get really depressed when I cannot work on my truck.

The Mountain Maidens are the problem in SW Idaho this spring, they are worse than the Bigfoot monsters.....they have overtaken the wolves as the leading predator of foolhardy men caught alone in the dark woods.
Guys who are never heard from again...............

It's true I've seen these creatures. You'll have to live in the theater room. With Cooper. You can be his bit*h.

Re: Daverods project 66

Some places have moss that grows on the trees in the dark cool places ,
Around here it is the fur that the Mountain Maidens shed that hangs off the trees in great clumps.
Even the mighty grizzly bears hide out when the maidens are shedding off in the spring:lol:

I hear Cooper snores and licks himself all night

Well the guy wanted 4500 for the fo#d so I passed on that. I was looking for some steering u joints, nothing. Big swap meet in Logan Utah on the 4th. I'm sure I'll find somthing I don't need there. The truck was barn fresh. Really nice on the inside.

Strodder 06-22-2011 10:22 PM

Re: Daverods project 66

You should come down here to the Pomona Swap Meet at the Fairplex some time. I guarantee you will find something to buy. It the biggest in the world. You need more than a day to see the whole thing. Even if your not in the market to buy anything.
You can stay at the Mr & Mrs Strodder's B&B.

If you drink, you will never make it through it. Only water. :alky:

daverod 06-22-2011 11:09 PM

Re: Daverods project 66

I think I'll have some drinks on Dec 1st;) My parents go to Yuma every winter. I might have to go visit them. Your place would be on the way. One of these years. When I get rich.

bubba327 06-22-2011 11:33 PM

Re: Daverods project 66

My father in law brought me some Tequila from across the border from Yuma in Algadones.
Paid $1.28 a fifth, WOW!! That was Nasty stuff .He said it used to be priced under a dollar maybe 5 years ago. It would have made good paint stripper as it was to terrible to drink.
I bet Dennis buys the good stuff:alky::alc:

If you go to Yuma this winter ,you can visit my in-laws and You can haul some more rocks back to Idaho for them .. Personally I think Idaho has enough rocks now so I am done with that moving adventure. ( I went to Yuma this spring to help them haul furniture back to Idaho and ended up moving rocks 1000 miles with very expensive diesel prices)

Re: Daverods project 66

I was thinking I would just pick up a couple teeth they are a lot easier to carry. I was wanting to buy a bike and make a bike trip out of it. That might not work so well in the winter.

Re: Daverods project 66

I use Jose Cuervo Gold only. But there are better tequila's out there. When I'm as rich as Dave I'll buy it.

Back in the cave man days I used to hog out a watermelon, and fill it with chunks of watermelon, and other fruits. Then put some Rum, or Vodka, or Jack in it. Some times all three. :haha: :ennyd::barn::alc::tim::alky:
