1953 Suburban 3106. Had a N/A 231 Buick V6 in it, now I'll be putting an Olds 307 in.

1958 3116 school bus, "static" (bounces in the back). 235/3 on the tree. Have original tailgate/clam shell off for body work. Hasn't been registered since 1981 but runs and drives just fine.

I could have bought one, but because the fiberglass was messed up, and I didn't know what I was looking at, passed it up. The people who got it were thrilled that it was so original. I'm jealous....

You should have jumped on it! Original Cameo's are getting outrageously expensive...reminds me of the real estate bubble.

This truck is all there, but it does need a lot of work. 61 years, and about 30 of those neglected, has taken its toll on the truck. All in all she's in pretty good shape (Southern California truck all it's life).

I do have to do a small amount of fiberglass repair but it's pretty minor. The only cancer that needs to be addressed is both door bottoms and cab corners, they aren't to bad but it needs to be dealt with sooner then later.

I'm planning on taking the doors off and giving them an electrolysis bath, sealing them and putting them back on. The cab corners have some break through hiding on the rear near the frame rails so i'm going to patch those.

Once I get going i'll start a little build thread.

Still feeling it out.... number one is to make it a daily driver that I can take to shows on the weekend. We will see where we go from there. I just retired after 25 years in the US Air Force so I have time on my hands, we will see if I have the talent to pull this off.

This is how I found it....good body....not the original engine, still straight six. No rust but I think many after market panels. Not looking to make it a show truck but want to make it nice enough to take to a show on the weekend.

Thank you sir. Just some minor touches. Wheels and some cosmetic touches. It has fuel injected small block. Four link 9 inch rear and chevelle front clip. And all kinds of other goodies! I will put a build log together shortly!
