And love truck pics, kept me interested in trucks after my pop passed away in 2007 and until 2009 or so I wanted out of them til I realized I wasn't the only one. |

Realizing you're not the only one is the doorway to becoming a total fanatic! That has happened to me with a few things. After all the "What do you see in that?" reactions it makes you wonder if people think it's strange. Then you find out about clubs, shows, and now websites, etc and you realize there are a whole lot of strange people out there!
I remember everybody thinking I was crazy for buying an old pickup truck cab for $500. I mean car guys and all. Rust free original paint '72 from El Cajon, CA. I knew exactly what I was doing. I'd tell people "This guy stripped a truck in the bone dry desert, brought it clear across the country, and set it down in PA not much more than an hour from my house for me to walk up and buy" I'd like to pick up something like this: |

And an awesome tow truck |
Re: GM Semis
That tow truck is an interesting example of an early Chevy.
Either a '66 or '67 Model. Also note that it is either a Chevy 80 or 90, with a Butterfly Hood yet. |
Re: GM Semis
The butterfly hood jumped out at me too.

Holy kamoly! That Fleet Carrier Corp picture is the best! But every single truckshown is awesome. That toad face hauling a locomotive is GMC perfection. I've seen the white and red one a lot at shows. Clean as a whistle.

Some more great pictures here.
I especially like the factory shot of the 2nd one down on #1721. Looks like a '66 5000 with a Heavy Front Axle and a Toro-Flow Diesel. |
