Notice when she wants something, she just goes out and buys it. When we want something we have to beg for it.

there was a saying about that i think something about it being better to apoligize after doing the purchase than to ask for permission before buying

Not sure if it comes with the territory of being a career soldier or not, thought it certainly seems to... But I am on my 3rd marriage.
After strike one and two, I told this one up front that if she ever got to be more trouble than she was worth I would kick her to the curb.

I have to remind her of that once every 3-5 years, but so far has been pretty effective and worked out well.
That and seperate bank accounts certainly keeps the "discussions" about what and where I am spending to a drastic minimum.

the trouble with girls is that they think they can change him while the guys think she never changes after mariage

im still single after 43 years i can do watever i want look at any girl walking bye without getting hit , im boss in my own house and of my own wallet , its lonely at times but i wonder if the alternative is any better in the long run

And the stuff they buy ends up in a yard sale on $1 table.

This is the KBS that I sprayed on. It can be done with a brush also.

Dennis - Which KBS coating did you use, BlackTop or RustSeal? Was that frame sandblasted or what prep did you use?

I used the black top coat, and used a wire wheel and paint removing disc.

I know you have put bags on s10's any pictures of how the front shocks go? I have an idea but my ideas are usally wrong.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

I used to install them like this. A tip though, when you make a the hole in the lower control arm for the lower shock mount weld some thick washers for reinforcement or the shock bolt will crack the lower control arm where the hole is.
And be careful where you install the shock. Make sure your tires don't rub on them when turning all the way to lock. At times I adjusted the stops so the wheel won't hit them.

they sell shockabsorbers here that have the eye on top and the rubber on the bottom , there for an opel astra station , it actually might be eazier to make mounts for those

Thanks Dennis.:metal: That's how I thought they might go. It's really the only way for it to work. I was just having a problem with the tires hitting. Guess I'll go play with it some more. Then I'll go work on my truck.:smoke:
