I need that! A friend has offered me a Model A frame and another offered to give me the drivetrain and running gear. I could have a rolling chassis fairly easily and certainly cheaply. I don't expect to ever build a full bodied car or pickup but I'd like to come up with something fun. I was thinking a doodlebug but building a wood body huckster or truck would be neat.

The finished product. 3 - 750ml & 1 - 1liter bottles. It has to age for 3 months.

I just threw the Avon Gas Pump bottle in there for grins.... :)

Well, it'll be done just in time for KC?

Had to swap the pump out on my air compressor system. My Harbor Freight pump died (reed valve assembly) after 14 years. They don't make parts to repair the old one (I replace the valve assemblies 6 years ago), so got another one, on sale at HF so for $90, and couple $ for some 3/4" pipe I am back running again. Had to route the air pipe as it was different between the 2 and the hydraulic line guy didn't have the fittings I needed to match up, so 3/4" pipe to the rescue to meet up with the old line. Maybe not stylish, but it works and should be strong enough. I also will need a slightly smaller pulley for the motor, which is on the way, but looks like I'm back in business for about $120 total. I don't seem to use is as hard as when I first got the thing and set up the old HF pump in early 2009. If I get 15years out of this one, I will feel good.

The original setup was a 1991 Excel system. It served EdB for 15 years and been with me since 2006.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

My neighbor has a little terrier dog. It's an obnoxious little guy and my dogs hate him. He strolls by the fence and pee's and kick his rear legs and antagonizes my dogs.

So..Today. My wife let's the dogs out to run in the yard. And who is out there? Yup. The little Scotty dog is in my yard. Now there is no fence between them.

I panic. I figured that my German Shepherd was going to kill this dog. They surrounded the dog and I thought it was over.

But no. Duke didn't do anything but just stand there. It was my little Havanese Bear Bear that jumped in like a land shark. Which is so unusual. Bear usually wouldn't get up if the house was on fire. But I guess he had a beef with the Scotty dog. So he went after him. Totally out of character. I can't believe that he even got up. He's a Sloth.

The Scotty took off running with my little Corgi hot on his tail. She chased him all the way home. I don't think that Scotty will be coming around soon.

My little tough guy.

And don't mess with a Corgi. They might have short legs but they have a LOT of attitude.

Move equipment around. I have a SawStop jobsite (portable) saw for sale and I got it up to the front door of my "shop" for easy access when (if) the buyer shows tomorrow. Craig's List shoppers.

Be ready for the Rose a sharon to invade the whole yard . I had it at my rental property and I got it out of my yard but the neighbor has them and they pop up everywhere in my yard every spring . Very invasive plant

That turned out really nice. Even though it's a relatively simple structure, you built it to fit with the style of your shop and house it looks like. Hopefully she's happy with it, it looks great from here.

Great added purpose. So, did you actually build it for her plantings or...?

I have a spot in the high corner of my lot that gets the late afternoon sun. That's where I'll set freshly painted parts to cook the paint on parts. Hmmm... a greenhouse, ey?

We have an ag supply store in town with a greenhouse. Just as I was walking up to it an employee came out dragging a hose. I walked in there and my glasses steamed up immediately. Such humidity!

yes sir,a greenhouse for the boss.she had a piece of junk greenhouse last year we bought at a big box home improvement store,it was junk, made of thin little tubes, bolted together and a cheap tarp affair that attached with little bungee's.i was amazed the wind didn't blow it 1/2 way to Hong Kong?i promised her something better to work in,so if that's what she wants,i'll make it happen.she had started a bunch of things growing in trays, red solo cups, anything that would hold soil,in a bedroom we don't use.i told her we could hire the room for jungle safari's soon?not that bad, just poking fun at her.anyway now i think i need to get water out to it for her,it'll save dragging the hose from the house.she has 3 above ground boxes with strawberries growing in one,not sure about the other 2.if she feels she needs it,i'll till up some ground for her to work in,and if it all goes bust,i have a great paint booth and oven to paint and bake parts, all good.

You obviously take good care of your woman, as it should be. I'm just poking fun here. I think it's great that she has such interests. Gardening is good for the soul. You get the benefits of that in her. Also, you could always use heat that extra bedroom up for a paint curing room. Oh yeah, the paint odor. Not so good I guess

yes sir,i have her spoiled rotten, more like the other way around??i never had it so good.she enjoys it,so that's good enough for me.i thought about using that room to dry paint but i remember the trouble i got in,when i cured the paint on my exhaust manifolds for the truck,in her oven.who knew an oven in the house would go to 600 degrees?as per the instructions on the paint can.she got home from work, smelled the paint, asked what i did,so i told her.she said"why would you do that" well i said,we have 2 stoves and they're both in the house?what's a fella to do?all the best.Greg

Nice looking green house ,,any wife would love that ,..You did good..............This reminded me of one time I was thinking of building a green house ,, I had a job changing out #8- 8 feet sliding doors in this one house ,I got all them doors that came to #16 separate aluminum framed windows ...
Took them home and then later about 6 months someone told me that they were no good for a green house as they were tinted and would not let the solor rays through for growing plants ..
I sold them for $75 dollar to a guy from the beach that he wanted to surround his ocean front patio for a wind brake ...

Works great you can use a bucket and the internal pump or hook it directly to a garden hose . I have the 4ah batteries and one will last 4 hours with the fan and pump running . Never timed the fan only but I'm sure it's at least double .

Went to our local Armed Forces Day event. Nice turn out. Had the truck out with some flags. My wife wanted to buy a Marine Corps backpack. The Marine said you could win a backpack if you did 9 pull-ups. She laughed and said that ain't happening. He took off his hat and did the pull-ups for her. I thought that was darn nice. Future Marine here, this little guy banged off 5 pull-ups and had us all clapping. Was very nice to see tons of smiles, and a lot of respect shown our troops.

New calipers ,rotors and pads on all four corners of my Dodge . After working on this I can’t tell you how much of a pleasure it is working on the old rust free trucks . Every nut and bolt on the 68 last week came off without so much as a shot of PB Blaster . I had to use heat on this this and I still broke a couple of bolts . Glad they sell the units brackets and all .

That's a bunch of traps! Do you sell them or do you have a bee problem? My old neighbor down the road had carpenter bees in his porch rafters, they made the nicest holes all the way thru. I told him I needed a full set of them from 1/4" to 1/2"....he didn't think that was too funny. They did a lot of damage in a short amount of time.

I needed to space the rubber bumpers away from the door/ramp on my car trailer. I bought aluminum ones to replace the plywood that came with it. They have a deeper side profile. I found a drop of 6061 3"X8" on ebay for $43. I had some stainless 3/8" acorn nuts from a light I made over the lathe and some 3/8"all-thread laying around so I put some green (forever) Loctite on them and made some bolts. I cut the 6061 into thirds and cleaned them up. Drilled and tapped the door and success. Thank you for your time.

These I kept simple. I thought about painting them up like people do bird houses. I think just simple is good enough

That's a dozen I made for a friend. I guess if you have the bees you have a problem and I have them. I made 6 up a few years ago, out of a 12-pack of jars. Last year I couldn't find the other 6 to finish up. But the 6 got me 36 bees last year. So far 26 this year. I had a lot of 4x4 cut-offs so I bought four dozen jars to make up, either sell or give friends. Last year I made up a bunch of the wood part but never drilled the holes. Yesterday I painted lids, so now I need to drill holes and put them together. I figure the lids will rust, so I used up left over paint. I just built a wheelchair ramp and have enough 4x4 chunks to make another 4 dozen.

Super clean work. And very resourceful. Both on the light and on the trailer. You are a detail guy and I can relate to that. A funny note is, on the picture of the back of your trailer, it took me a minute. Looked like the front of your garage had melted and then I figured out it was the reflection. Very clean, reflective. Thought I would mention, that I was surprised to learn that stainless is somewhat reactive as a dissimilar metal with aluminum. The funny thing is that mild steel is closer in composition (less reactive), but obviously rusts. If you need to put some type of steel in contact with aluminum, it's good to use galvanized. Thought I would mention it since those pieces would be out in the weather. They may be sleeved though, not sure if they are in direct contact with the aluminum. I'm not trying to be critical, your craftsmanship is outstanding.
