If you don't have heartburn regularly then suddenly start getting heartburn, you might want to go to the doctor. Posted from a hospital bed because apparently I had a heart attack.

oh I'm quite familiar with the heat and how to deal with it..
my beef is with this and corresponding property taxes.. Similar homes nearby avg. sold price: $705,714 Avg. $/Square Feet: $524 locals brag it's worth it for the weather.. just a bad joke  |
Re: My Facetruck thread.
113 here today, and the renters called to say that the AC ain't working. It was 120 in Woodland Hills, CA. They get a break, I think it was only 116 at the rental house. I went over to see if it was something easy. Nope, breakers not tripped. But the fan in the condensing unit isn't even trying to spin. If it was, that's just a start capacitor, an easy fix. So, now I have to call in a professional. I just had foot surgery, and can't find my AC gauges to boot. :( It's gumby money spent! :waah:

Re: My Facetruck thread.
just talking to my buddy at work about Missouri.. his folks and his brother and his family all relocated to Springfield from Fresno recently and just found out they're from Arkansas..
my buddy was born in Searcy and they moved west when he was 5.. he's a kickass heavy junk mechanic and worked at a John Deere's dealer in Fresno before coming down here.. his dad is in trucking, mom a banker, brother union electrician.. been working on him to move out there but he's got some retirement time here he'd have to make some tough decisions.. but I really hope he makes it out of here, I can use a good mechanic on the farm  |
Re: My Facetruck thread.
 knew I saw that town here somewheres - I'll have to ask if he still has kin around there.. I have some around pine bluff area..

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Our property maintenance guy is from Pine Bluff.
I used to have relatives around Fresno, last name Brawley. My dad kept close contact with his uncle, but we lost track after he passed. I have the uncle you met killer, that lives in Corona. He spent his working life acquiring property here, in anticipation of his retirement. Then his kids grew up and his grandkids are in California. He's trapped there. |

We have a contract, doing municipal water and street improvements, with the City of Marshfield, next town east of Springfield. We are in Springfield at least once a week it seems. We have our heavy trucks worked on there. We have a couple up there now. |

Re: My Facetruck thread.
My sister was going to give me their information. I'll catch up with her and let you know. I know his people are from Texas, but not sure if the aunt is his family or by marriage... or what her situation is. Like widowed and moved back, or what. My sister only said 'aunt'. I'll find out.

I've been wanting to bring this thread back. Glad you did, KB. I grilled some steaks last night, made mashed redskin potatoes, and white corn on the cob. I enjoyed that meal. Over and out  |

I've been melancholy the last couple of days. I mentioned a while back that my friend John Watkins was fighting Pancreatic Cancer. John lost his fight Friday night.
He is in a better place now, but it makes me think about the purpose of life. John was a good husband, father and successful business man. He worked until less than two years ago, and retired to focus on his family and hot rods. We have been going to Good Guys Des Moines with John and his family for several years. This year our kids wanted to go to the Rockies, so we went that way. John called from Des Moines while we were on the road, and we had a good talk. I don't feel guilty about not going to Des Moines this year, but it would have been nice to be there for John's last car show. Rest in piece John. |
Re: My Facetruck thread.
