Tap the bottom of the spray paint can on something solid like the floor or I use my vise a lot. The ball in the can tends to settle in the bottom and just needs to be jarred loose.

I did my whole build with Rustoleum spray cans, so I know a few tricks about them.... LoL

Otherwise the grille looks great !! :metal:
Were the letters difficult to do?

Finished the radio mount today. It came out good but the pic isn't good. I need to order the speaker mounts for the kick panels and get it hooked up to the radio. I also took the truck to the exhaust shop to get a glass pack installed. I pick it up tomorrow and it will be ready to get inspected. I'm having surgery so I won't get it done until Aug.
I will post pics of the exhaust after I pick it up.

Let me know when you are ready. I'll come by and help you. It's better to do it when you are doing the metal work inside before the interior goes in.

Nice job on the radio repair. I've got to do the same in my fleetside when I get to that point. Also have to fix a piece of the speaker grill on top of the dash. PO's on that truck drilled over 20 holes that will need welded up. Funny thing is not one thing bolted or screwed down to any of the holes.....can only wonder what was mounted.

No Problem John. Thanks for the help. I will need you help to put the cab back on as well. Plan on getting 4 guys together instead of using the engine hoist.

I had to stop on the truck for a while. i just finished my leg realignment surgery on the 10th. I can't put any weight on my leg for 7 weeks and the pain sucks so bad right now. i can still come and direct all the traffic when you are ready to do it.

That dash sure turned out nice. Never know it was damaged. Another tip regarding spray cans, heat them up in warm (not boiling hot) water for 5-10 minutes before spraying. It loosens up the rattle ball, and also increases the pressure of the propellant so the can doesn't start spitting half way through the paint job.

Sorry to hear about the surgery. That can certainly put a miserable crimp in your progress. Good luck on a speedy recovery.

Thanks for the tip and compliment. Those rattle cans sure been pissing me off. Thanks for your concern on my leg surgery. It's the first of two that hopefully will prevent full knee replacement.

Finally got around to installing the radio in the truck. I wasn't digging the floor vents at all so I wanted to do something different. I saw that DLW had his speakers in the floor vents and it gave it clean look. So I cut some steel, painted it and mounted some 4in speakers and screwed them in place. It can be changed at any time I cut it from the vent design and used the original mounting screw holes. Here are the pics.

Attended my first coffee and cars this morning. I met a bunch of cool people, good coffee and saw some fine rides.

Radio looks great John. Which one did you go with? It looks to be one of the Ipod compatible ones.

Re: 1962 chevy c10 update.

Friday I took the fender off to try to get the door aligned. I had Bret (BJ383SS) come help me do it. After a couple of hours I think we finally got it aligned and found two other problems. One is the door seal and the latch. So now I have a new latch on order and the door is aligned better. Today I entered my truck in it's first car show. As of now all I have been doing was going to cruise Ins and get togethers. I wasn't expecting coming home with any trophies because I came late to the show. It turned out to be a good day, I came home with six and one of them was best in show. I guess we did a good job Bret getting that door aligned!
