From real nice to well used!!

The 9500 in the 1st picture has an amazingly short CA (cab to axel) especially for a long nose.

It sure does. The rear axle is in the single rear location,I think. It's an early race car hauler from back in the day judging by the small time sponsor. Maybe it's customized to be within the old length limits with a long race trailer

Check out the beginning of Smokey and the Bandit 2 when the trucks are racing around the old Atlanta Speedway, you might spot that GMC going around the track.

Makes sense now. I guess I missed out on that truck racing. The modern versions run single axle.

Here's one to want for........Bill???

Tim,

Now that I look a little closer, that is a good example of an early 9500 Long Nose.

It looks like it is a '66 or a '67. Pretty rare.

Nice trucks. Notice both trucks have the factory optional Triple Air Horns.

Speaking of Air Horns, I was able to finally pick up a nice set of original GMC Hadley Air Horns at a local swap meet. These are the standard option twin set found on most '60's and '70's Chevy and GMC trucks with Air Brakes.

Speaking of Air Horns again, there are none on the 9500 above.

...very, very rare.

Maybe ordered with Air Horns delete?
