Sweet project.

Re: 1967 C-10 LS POWERED Build
I would have waited on the seats until after you put the roll cage in. With the cage installed you could have made tubular mounts instead.

Re: 1967 C-10 LS POWERED Build
[Got the cross member plates made for the trailing arms to get the pinion angle correct]
Question here, couldn`t you have used angle shims at the U bolts to correct the pinion angle? lowering the arm mounting point will move your "Instant Center". |
Re: 1967 C-10 LS POWERED Build
Well we went that route, not only correcting the pinion angle, but also lowering the truck. It's just the way I decided to do it.

Been awhile since i've updated. Not much has changed up until the last few months. Finally got most of the interior put together. recovered factory door panels. Got the bed sprayed and put on. I'm going to skin the floor with aluminum and have some aluminum tubs shaped like factory just wider for tires of course. Here's some pics of progress and a mile stone might i add!

Re: 1967 C-10 LS POWERED Build
waiting to here your times. Our motor's are the same but you've gone a bit bigger in the cam and stall departments, mine was carb'd but now efi, and I'm running a 4L80e instead of t400....and your trucks is a bit lighter I'd bet.

Re: 1967 C-10 LS POWERED Build
only went one time carb'd to 1/8mi track and was only in the 8's and I forget the mph. Crappy converter and slipping trans....not now tho. Think it would do better now but starts to shake bad at 80-85...so I haven't been back. Planning to replace slip yoke, upgrade to 1350 pinion yoke, and get a aluminum shaft...then reduce angles to 1*. Then it should be smoooth.

Re: 1967 C-10 LS POWERED Build
looks like you might get yours done before i get mine done.... I think you should put the fuel cell under the bed with a billet cap coming thru that floor:metal: unless the cell hangs to low... to bad you live in shawnee i would like to come see it....
