Re: Post Your 60-63 Body Style Chevy/GMC Trucks
Oh Yes!!!!!!
He has a 350/350 combination under the hood. He also has a 58 Chevy I think. Anyhoot, I hope he checks the site out. I'm thinking about starting a 60-66 Body Style Chevy/GMC Trucks Club here locally. We will see. I'm so busy with work and have very little time. Be nice to have these trucks at local cruisins..... http://content.share.aarp.org/upload...2126847183.jpg http://www.cruisincarolinamagazine.com/ http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=327855 |

Re: Post Your 60-63 Body Style Chevy/GMC Trucks
That's a nice truck!!
Judging from the 1st few pics of it, it looks like the cowl hood doesn't interfere with the wipers' operation. Is this the case? And do they hit the cowl when raising or lowering the hood? The reason I ask is that I'm considering putting wipers back on my truck, but was concerned that the cowl hood might cause some interference problems. Thanks in advance... |
Re: Post Your 60-63 Body Style Chevy/GMC Trucks
My bad. If I had read above the pics, I would have caught the part about this truck not being yours. Well, if anyone knows answers to my questions, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks again... |
Re: Post Your 60-63 Body Style Chevy/GMC Trucks
Hey Bud,
There is plenty of clearance from the cowl hood. I have one, and a lot of fellas on here do as well. My cowl hood is a 6" cowl. When you raise the hood up it comes foward a little. I can take a pic tomorrow. |

^ if I was gonna get a cowl hood, I would make it wider; maybe even out to the "natural" curves of the hood. |

Re: Post Your 60-63 Body Style Chevy/GMC Trucks
Nice! I like the bed liner.
|
Re: Post Your 60-63 Body Style Chevy/GMC Trucks
I like everything except the hood and steering wheel. But I'd take it!
|
Re: Post Your 60-63 Body Style Chevy/GMC Trucks
I kinda like the hood! I'm going to have the V line shape on the middle of the my cowl. Do some Country Boy Designing. Make a mold some how.

Re: Post Your 60-63 Body Style Chevy/GMC Trucks
Man, that's a sweet looking truck. I'd ditch the steering wheel though. I dig the cowl hood, bed, and small Chevy logo on the tailgate though.

Re: Post Your 60-63 Body Style Chevy/GMC Trucks
Well, here's my first post. I just picked up this little gem from a guy locally. Dropped 4 - $100 bills on him and walked away with the title.
I am definately not new to these trucks. In fact I've owned 2 1965s and 3 1966 C10s over the years. Here's a couple pics of my find: http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b8...cture20015.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b8...cture20016.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b8...cture20021.jpg |

I'll take a crack at it Captain!
'63 No X frame Looks like single hole firewall(booster) No side window frames( though '62's may have offered frameless as well, not sure on that one) Looks like a great start, all the hard stuff looks to be done already T |

Re: Post Your 60-63 Body Style Chevy/GMC Trucks
Yup, came with all the sheet metal. It's a 63 model with a 77 front/rear end. The only thing I really need to come up with is an engine. I'm thinking something old school like a 327. There is something about the 350 that is just so ordinary to me. Hopefully I can keep snapping pics along the way and start a restoration thread. :metal:
