Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
Very nice build!
I like the look of your photos too, they have an old chromatic film look to them, unless you have some sort of UV filter on your camera, I can only guess it is the lighting in your shop. Good pics tho, keep them coming! |

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
Nice! Looking good man. Keep it up.
Where did you get those engine mounts? |
Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
found them on ebay.. it was a engine mount/tranny crossmember kit
|
Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
Killer! After a couple hundred miles those tubs and the firewall should have enough road grime to really blend in with the natural patina.

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
i hope so.. im trying to make it look like someone built it bout 30 years ago then just parked it in a field :metal::metal::metal:

Hey Coulter, we need to get together one day, would love to see your truck in the flesh....... you used 2.5 drop spindles, front air bags, then dropped the lower A arm, of course did a notch, rear air bags.....how low does your truck sit off the ground when it is down.......I am working on a 65 lwb (Corina Patina) and I was trying to lower her as much as possible without zzzing the frame or modifying the body mounts. Did you lower the cab and the front end or just do the spindles and a arms up front......Thanks in advance for the help. Kieth Attachment 817373 Attachment 817374 Attachment 817375 Attachment 817376 I have not added the 2x2 tubing yet above the trailing arm but will soon. Getting ready to start on the front end next week, any advise would help....Kieth give me a call when you have time. 918-446-2245 |
Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
sorry kieth i been meaning to hit u up for a while.. just been super busy lately. i wanna come check out ur rides sometime too!! ill prolly be back at it next weekend.. got some go kart racing goin down this weekend.. lol
anyway i havent really measured mine but im pretty sure that in the front the frame is bout 2 or 2 1/2 inches with it laying on the a arms.. thats as low as you can get it without dropmember, pancake stock crossmember, or z the frame.. the rear on mine will get lower than that but im gonna set it up with some bump stops to keep the rear from goin lower than the front. my rear trailing arm crossmember has been flipped and i trimmed it to give some more ground clearance.. its bout an inch lower than the frame now |
