DANG YOU BIG BLOCK GUYS. HAHA
That's the truth. It would be fun to race against trucks with similar ET's.

Re: post latest 1/4 and 1/8 mile times and 60ft.

Thanks Shaun,
It would of came down who treed who if we lined up to see who took the stripe.
But then you would of blown right by me. You pull some serious MPH.

I'm excited for your new back half and motor/trans combo. keep that build thread coming!

Re: post latest 1/4 and 1/8 mile times and 60ft.

I only had the mph I did do to the lock up verter. I have also been told recently that Sacramento's 1/4 mph is roughly 3mph high compared to other tracks with similar DA. So maybe a combo of both?

Someday I want to go visit my brother and take my truck to the strip in Medford.

Re: post latest 1/4 and 1/8 mile times and 60ft.

Hell YA! come up. I never raced in Medford neither. My buddy has a 53 GMC drag truck That's dying to head down.

It would be a day to remember. A few SBC powered trucks taking the stripe again and again. Beating up on those big tire big block cars!

Now I know this isn't a classic or anything special, but its my daily driver and all I got until my 67 gets finished. It's a 99 GMC Sierra SLE with 175,000 miles on it!

Race weight with me in it : 4420 LBS.

Engine and Trans : Engine has about 60,000 miles. 6.0 LQ9 Stock bottom end and heads. 228R cam from Texas Speed, Comp 918 Springs, and Chromoly Push Rods. 8.1 injectors. Voolant Cold Air Intake, Pacesetter Long Tubes W/ Offroad Y-pipe into a Super 44 Flowmaster Dumped. 05-07 Cooling Fans. ECM is tuned with HP Tuners. 3600 Yank Converter. Billet 1-2 Servo. Rear Gear Stock 3.73 with RPO G80 Limited Slip.

60 Ft : 1.9 Personal Best (1.7)

1/4 Mile : 13.0 Consistent. Personal best (12.89 at 105mph)

MPH : 102-105 mph

All of this was done with M/T ET streets 26x11.50x16 on the back and 20's on the front.

Re: post latest 1/4 and 1/8 mile times and 60ft.

I went out Friday night to the track to do some testing on the new competition engineering
rear shocks with the correct travel lengths. Found out I could turn the 2 step off and let those tires fight. It was real viscious launches, but fun.
It was even fun getting passed by a 71 chevelle doing a wheelie LOL. At least I treed him.
Turns out he had a all aluminum 632 that has ran in the 8.90's small tire.
well here is the 2 best 60' runs. The MPH seems a little slow to me.
60-1.556/1.549
1/8-7.241/7.248
mph-93.59/93.44
1/4-11.535/11.552
MPH-112.38/112.06

A stock truck is in the 3800 to 4000lb Range till you start taking stuff off it.

1/4mile 14.3@98.7mph
i dont remember the 1/8 and 60ft times
i did win a NHRA national even at my home track in nebraska though and class runner up twice before i started the resto on the ol girl. not bad for a rusted out work truck with a iron head small block

I went a 8.87 @82.55 with a 2.06 60' in my truck a couple weeks ago. This was in 4x4 low range with the front driveshaft out. The truck weighs 5300# with me in it. I went a 9.19 @81 in 2wd high range. It has a pretty bad stumble in high range until the motor gets up in RPM. Hopefully I will get it fixed and get back to the track next week.

Pretty quick for that beast what is under the hood?

Re: post latest 1/4 and 1/8 mile times and 60ft.

I am running a 408 LS stroker with a 74mm holset turbo. I am running 6psi of boost right now. After I get the water/meth injection hooked up and get the carb stumble fixed I plan on running about 10 psi. Hopefully low 8's or high 7's will be in the future.

Well my truck is a 1970 C10,SWB, I was running a 383 stroker with small valve iron heads and a holly performer intake with a edelbrock 750 carb. i was running a turbo 350, a GM 12 bolt with 3.73 and limit slip and a 345/55/r15 bf goodwrench Comp T/A street radial. With driver it weight 3500lbs. I started at 17.8s so we picked up a couple of seconds. i am restoring her right now, doing a 67 front clip. trying to decide on a new motor. lookin at a carbed 6.0 vortec out of a 99 or newer chevy truck or a 468 big block havent decided yet
