Re: Project: Crew'd Attitude
Looking good always nice seeing more parts going on than coming off. I was up in your area back in the mid 70's hauling Allis Chalmers tractors I took them up to Dauphin and Swan River, beautiful country up there

Re: Project: Crew'd Attitude
Looks good. I have been thinking about a fux-tina paint job on my stepside. It is in need of paint due to the po's lack of prep work.

Thanks to Brian Fiddler "FID"...we started on the custom dash paint the other night. Got some silver leaf put down, then cleared. And roughed out the objects to be painted (below). http://carphotos4.cardomain.com/imag...7006_large.jpg http://carphotos2.cardomain.com/imag...7008_large.jpg http://carphotos3.cardomain.com/imag...7020_large.jpg http://carphotos3.cardomain.com/imag...7022_large.jpg First color of stripping complete (dark brown), and the center picture near completed. Thought that this would go with the whold shop truck theme I was going for. Still 2 more colors to go on in a few days when he gets a chance to get back to the shop again. Next the glass will be going back in once paint is done on the top portion. http://carphotos.cardomain.com/image...7025_large.jpg http://carphotos4.cardomain.com/imag...7013_large.jpg Got the doors in place (what a PITA!) Drivers side fought me the whole way. Took nearly 6 hours to get them to fit correectly. Passenger side only took a few hours at best. Still have to do some repairs, then remove and do the jams before reassembling one last time. |

Re: Project: Crew'd Attitude
Love all the little touches you're doing to make this thing unique! The holes in the dash remind me of this....

Re: Project: Crew'd Attitude

Re: Project: Crew'd Attitude

Re: Project: Crew'd Attitude
Thanks guys........appreciate the positive responses. Was unsure a few times how things were going to turn out. And has taken ALOT longer than planned, but think it should turn out ok in the end. (I hope)
Should have some updated pictures Sunday night or so. Buddy is coming back to finish up the top of the dash, and install my front and rear glass. The rear window rubber I got from LMC was completely wrong (waaaay to big). Not sure what happened there, but will have to find out. Will keep you updated. :metal: |
Re: Project: Crew'd Attitude
Dash is pretty much all tied up and finished now. FID pretty much killed himself crawling around inside the engine bay for a few hours this afternoon. I think it turned out pretty sweet if I say so myself. Something different, and that is sometimes a good thing in the custom truck world.
