Someone on here has the saying "One thing at a time is still progress." as their signature.
I have been trying to apply that to the truck, although it is easier said than done. Once things settle down in the rest of my life a little, I will be able to devote more time to my "therapy" time in the garage. |

Re: 1964 gmc 1000
Hmmmm Emergency Brake cable....
I think you just answered a question for me. I want to do the in-cab hood release mod for my 66, and I been kicking around ideas for a cable for this, but until now every idea I had would be either too short, or too short and probably not strong enough. I like what you got going on here, hope you dont mind if I steal your idea! What kind of place did you get those made at? |
Re: 1964 gmc 1000
the place is called six states they sell all kinds of stuff in there little shop and then they have a cable shop where they make anything cable related and can do special orders like my cables they just made from looking at the old ones

Re: 1964 gmc 1000
Working on wiring still enjoying it kinda fun a good challenge tonight i worked on the horn i got rid of the stock horn and replaced it with dual high and low pitch tones supper loud massive improvement from stock there off a newer Nissan infinity (i know i felt funny taking off a made in USA to replace it with a made in japan)
I had made several trys tonight on the horn to get it perfect ended up setting it up with the relay system i used for the head lights works amazing for anything like this and my earlier attempts without the relays where much quieter then the final set up i recommend doing this upgrade with the relays. |
