Re: Buried to Bagged 1972 2wd
David,
Save the cut-out portion of your tub. I might be able to use it to repair portions of my bed. Also, early in the post you talk about running the LS3 intake, but then you have LS1 heads shown on the block. The port configurations are totally different and as far as I know are not interchangeable. I'll have to stop by again sometime. Say hello if you see me at Niftee-50ees. Vern |

Alright then, here are a couple of pics I can show. Started digging into the rocker and rust issues. Shaving the pinch weld is not gonna be too bad, I'll add pics soon.

I purchased a bed side to add to the top of the doors that I cut down. It worked out well and matches the side of the bed.

I stiffened up the sides with a crossmember and will use this to hold the c-notch cover which will be on actuators to open and close.

A little something from the company I purchased my rims from. Thanks to Travis at Pro Performance for helping me with backspacing and getting some little custom touches done to my rims.

More rust repair than I had anticipated but it will be absolutely worth it.

I wanted to clean up the front a little so deleting the bowtie should look about right!!

I hated the look of the rear of the frame so I cleaned it up a little. After getting both sides the same it really made a difference!
Attachment 1588138 For you Blazer guys running Porterbuilt, this is not the right crossmember. After a couple of calls to Nate and Dave they had a new crossmember to me in no time. I cannot say enough about this company. Any questions are treated with the utmost importance. Attachment 1588139 |

One of the things that always bothered me about these frames is the hump on the passenger side, well, that isn't an issue anymore.
Attachment 1588142 I got rid of the ugly e-brake holes as well as the shock mount holes. Attachment 1588143 |

After several attempts trying to get Raceline to correct all of the issues with rim fitment I finally gave up on them. After 1 full year I ran out of patience. :smoke:
Attachment 1588148 Working with Travis at Pro Performance (and spending a ton of $$$ with them) I got the perfect rim for my build. I just cannot say enough about Travis. He is one of the best guys to deal with and very knowledgeable about all of his products. These are the new Boyd Centennials. 22x12 and 20x8.5. Attachment 1588149 |

I assume there's room for the column by that 90 degree brake bracket--the pic is deceiving. Whose bracket is that? |

Did a little something different. I faux boxed the frame to house all the wires and lines. They will be approx 1 1/8 off the frame. Definitely makes it look a little different. I bead-rolled and dimple-died them for a little extra fancy.

Awesome choice of wheels! Chassis is looking great too. I have been dead set on Racelines, I sure hope they don't screw up on mine when I'm ready to order.....
