cleaned and sprayed the rear frame tire braces and used bed liner on the parts will see how well it last :smoke:

adding a little color before seam sealing the joints :ito:
tryed to get all the seams sealed but srewed up and have to resand and paint the lower driver door seam again . trying to rush it :banghead::m6::josh:

couple of pics of the little stuff i did today not much seam sealed a little on the cab and started putting the motor mounts and the calipers on the truck ill put on the lower trailing arms on sunday if i don't have to work :waah:

slowly starting the build up of the frame . trying to find a good motor head combo wanting to stroke the350 block to a 383 but still thinking B B but not sure whick will be easyer to build with at least 500 hp motor ..:lol::chevy:

slowly starting to put it to gether one part at a time .. mounted the springs on the trailing arms the rearends at the shop putting a true locker in with 3.73 gears . also mouted the stearing up ill mount the box tomarrow and
get the rear under it this week we hope :chevy::metal:

worked on the frame to day have a grease fitting broken off in the lower
a frame was a easy fix with an old flat tip screw driver filed down to use a a easy out and replace oll the fitting . putt the steering back on not sure if its right the stearing rod the tie rods mount to dose not look straight. its angeled a littl bit to much for my liking not sure if i need to use a 70-72 mount and not the 65 that i redrilled on the frame:chevy: ? :uhmk:

untill i hit the first snag of the brake lines the whip hose for the rear brakes
is not right . the hole need to be bigger and the block need to be square :banghead::m5: it will not mount in the braket on the rear .

spent today moving and covering things up . put the frame in the back part of the shop @ moved the cab and the parts ready to prime to the front part of the shop and blocked off the front part of the shop ..
for body and prime work this week . I'm off all week and im planing on
hidding in the shop .. hope the weather will work . but theres rain wed
and thurs will see . but hopefully i can get some more stuff put back on the truck .:chevy::metal:

would have gotten a little more done today but went out last nite and i feel like :barn::tim::alc:
but will get an early start in the morning next three day in the 70's to low 80's by sunday :metal:

got a late start on the cab today so here is what i got done dang finally got primer on the cab and other stuff that been sitting around for a while . i might get some paint on the dash and cab tomarrow maybe wil see what
ill have to prep before painting .. :metal:

Din't get to work on the truck today to much did get the motor ready to take to
the machine shop next week . going to deck it and up the compression
to 11 to 1 will see might sell the 041 heads and get some 58 or 64 cc aluminum
Head will see what my buddy doing the work thinks . :metal::chevy:
the head in the plastic the ones in front are 642624's
not wanting to use them .

Love all those Comp parts. Vote here for the Aluminum heads you won't regret it.

I see you did some repair on the top above the windshield. Was it difficult? I have some pin holes on the driver side in the same area.

Bret on the fix I welded up the area .then skimed it with a little filler and blocked t out . just be care full not to burn the hole bigger chasing the rust. :chevy:

Been a couple of weeks since last post so here a little update and a surprise at the end to show whats next in the on going build but its a sneek peek .
did some work on the brake lines and the idler arm still not sure if ive got it set were it needs to go . ill have to wait to get the motor and trans set in
will see where it goes ..:metal::chevy: and the las pic is the surprise

Thanks Bret . i got a good deal on the motor. it was in a running 70 swb
the owner wanted more power and built a blower motor. it sounds real healthy
and it only has 1,800 miles on the motor . so it looks like
i'm going to sell off some extra part i've gathered. that was going non air to now having ac in the truck :metal: will start posting some stuff in a couple of weeks that i have extra ...

spend the day cleaning paint guns and cleaning the shocks for repaint .
and rounded parts up to take to put the motor and trans together for the frame in a couple of weeks :metal::sumo::chevy:

spend a good day out in the shop . 1 sanded the Big block mount stands
2. sanded and cleaned the door hinges .
3 . painted the inside of the cab . dang i must be sick :lol:
Ill have to do some light sanding on the clear .i let some one use my clearing
gun and used it for a primer gun :m5: and i didn't check it before hand and sprayed my clear and had some grey flakes in the clear :banghead:
so i have the heater going in the shop right now to let it cure out @ 70 deg
for 4 hours . shoud be ready about 9.30 pm then wait untill tomarrow to sand
and reclear

Thanks Bomp i like the stuff you found under the tub and the date 3 14 1953
on the wall with the names on it .. :metal:
should be able to take the frame and cab to the shop net week .
to get the Big Block and other stuff i got for the truck i e A/C ill lose about
a month of working on the truck While boss is off on vacation
so i have this Sunday and one more after the next weekend
will see what gets done .. :waah::chevy:
