I'm not too fond of that one. It would need a repaint and some new wheels to remove the 80's from it.

There is a '72 factory 2wd Blazer for sale in Upland, CA. It's at a body shop called "Lupe & Johnny's Auto Body". It looks pretty straight but it needs some TLC. If you call there ask for John. I haven't been by there for awhile but last time I talked to him he was asking $6500 for it but was willing to trade for a '48 Chevy Fleetline.

Ya, a buddy decided he is going to take a look at it.

That one is on ebay with a BIN of $5,600

Check out the wing on the hardtop! It matches the wing on the ricer in the background photos.

That doesn't make sense. They look to be the same, but the ebay one say WV and the one i posted says Milwakee, WI. One or two of the pics are definately the same.

^^^^Is it really worth 11k? Lots of potential but that's a lot of moola.

bouncytruck 03-04-2009 01:50 PM

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread

11K can get you a lot more than that. For $7K more you could have a completed rig like http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/1050070425.html

or start with as much of a project for $3,500 http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/1059456958.html

Dumb question: how much better do the 2wd blazers ride than 4wd? I have only owned/rode in 4wd blazers/trucks. I really don't need 4wd year round and would like to find a 2wd.

Wow, that top one sounds like a deal for 12K....I'm guessing it's not as nice as it seems in person for that price (ie. hacked drop job and bondo under paint....but who knows...seems like a really good deal if it's nice)

bouncytruck 03-14-2009 12:05 AM

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread

Yeah, it looks like it's a good deal to me too. I'm guessing he price is lower because it's a converted 4wd.

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread

I am definitely in the market for a 2wd and don't care if it's a converted 4wd as that should keep the cost down of course...Let me know if you guys find anything on the east coast. I check craigshelper, ebay, etc weekly at least and daily most of the time...but always seem to miss something.

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread

Thanks...any chance you've seen that one...looks like it would be pretty rough especially at that price...but if it's decent, It'd be worth shipping.

Honestly I am leaning towards a 4wd to convert now...for some of the reasons I read in your thread (trailing arms having to be modded, etc.) Plus, the converted 4wd w/ a dropmember and notch would go a little lower than a 2wd from what I have been told.
