Re: Post pics. Lets see how many 60-66 4x4 are out there.

Here are some pictures of the new project a 1966 K15 I purchased up North. It was an California Park Service, Cab and Chassis K15 that had been sitting for over 14 years. The plans are to clean it all up and use it as a run around parts truck. Shy of a bad set of doors the metal is all in great shape. The bed is off another truck and the metal on it is great just the wood is all rotted away. Most of the things that have been done on it I will have to redo. The power steering conversion is a mess. Then the steering column is a mess (just picked up a complete perfect one). The dash has been cut for a stereo.

All in all it was a score with a K15 in this good of shape even for out here on the Left Coast!!

1966 K15, Cab and Chassis, 127", STD Int, SPC Paint, 283 CI, SM420 4 Speed, T221 Rockwell, Weld Wheels and 35" BFG Tires.

My 64 K14 Scaryall :D (LOTS of rust.)

I'll need to replace the floors, front half of the roof, front of the cab, and get it running.

I'd love to shove a 4bt in there at some point, but first things first.

All of the front sheetmetal is off of it right now.

Here are a couple of pictures of my old 65. It is a lwb stepside. All original 283, 3 speed on the column. I even have the owners manual. Bought new at Check Chevrolet in Baird Texas.

I already put some pics a few months ago over on the 60-66 board, but I wanted to chime in here.

Im new to the boards but here's mine a 1966 el camino on a 1970 blazer frame. Future plans are 35" pitbull rockers, portable winch mount with a hitch setup, new paint, all new interior, and line-x undercarriage, bed, inner fenderwells, and the floor. She's a driving project and wheels quite well.

Re: Post pics. Lets see how many 60-66 4x4 are out there.

Quick question for you guys. I am looking to lift my 63 k10 somewhere around 4 inches, but I want to keep it on the original frame and not have to make too many major modifications. What are some options for this? Can I possibly use a kit for 67-72 trucks, or is there no way one of those would work? Thanks!

Either a body lift, or get new springs made. 67-72 kits will not work. I put 76 4x4 spring hangers on my 61 4x4 and now i can use a lift kit from any 73-87.
