This was my truck in the early 90's. Miss that truck.
Building a new one though. Not Pro Street though. 33x19.5 Sportsmans on 15x15 Convo Pros Flare height on the bed was 19.5 |

I'm guessing the trucks weight is 3400lbs +200 for me, it dynoed 655hp 590ftlbs @ the flywheel. I have a turbo 350 w/trans brake, 4.56 gears, 4200 converter, and 31" tall tires. I checked one of the on-line calculators, it said mid 10s. I think their math has flaws.... lol! What do you boys think is realistic? (keep in mind no bottle, no boost) |

Yeah, I don't think you'll have a problem running mid-12s... with a 2 bbl carb bolted on in place of your Holley! Like 68 C-10 Kid said, I think, if your dyno and weight figures are accurate, you'll be looking at mid-to-low 11s easily, provided it hooks. |

Dyno numbers are good, its the weight I'm not sure of....lol! I think I have another transmission issue with it. It just doesn't feel quick. I lost second gear the first time I drove it, maybe I'm just paranoid now. Maybe it just feels so different than anything I ever drove before. I'll give it a little more seat time, before changing anything.... On the bright side, I know my loud exhaust ticket is waiting for me!! If anyone is debating about a set of Flowmaster Hushpowers, at least the 3.5" in&out ones are pretty loud |
Re: Pro Street Trucks/Cars pics!!! im in love with the fatty tires!!
Fryco AWSOME truck . What tailgate skin and taillights are those? I am trying to talk my wife into a hood like that but she wont budge.

It had to be made like that because I moved the frame rail height up almost 9" (for lower ride height) The frame rails are now above center of the tailgate. I knew if I used a bumper and long drop brackets they fold up if they got hit (and be heavy). Picture doesn't show the best, its all I have on hand... The tail lights I had made custom. They have over 100 leds in each of them. The center of each has 15 blue leds (coping the old blue dots) Got them from a place in Texas, I can't for the life of me remember the company name... They were actually pretty cheap, I think @ $300 with the weld in buckets and harness pig tails. That hood is a bucket of worms!!! Mine is from up22. Lets just say be prepared to do some body work... Lots of pin holes and air bubbles, lots a fitments issues. There really isn't allot of choices for glass hoods, so you deal with it.... The part I never realized would be a issue is: hood springs. Even the glass hood is heavy (Its big). The hinges in our trucks have a compound action in them (they lift up and forward). So you need spring tension to pull the hood forward as it raises, up22 tells you to just ditch the factory springs and all is good. It works, but binds when opening (the hood hooks the cowl). So I used the heaviest glass hood springs Harwood/Jegs made. It works okay, but they still need more tension. |

Here are a couple of videos I posted a while ago. The motor is a 427 cu.in. Brodix small block with Brodix heads, TBS 8-71 w/intercooler. Lots of good stuff inside Alum rods, Ceramic and "other" coatings, 880 hp and 815 tq ( before the intercooler hooked up and fine tuned for street use) http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s...k/DSCN1893.jpg |
Re: Pro Street Trucks/Cars pics!!! im in love with the fatty tires!!
Would look nice in my '62......
The only thing I probably could afford would be the spark plugs... http://www.somanymp3s.com/wp-content...0346-large.gif http://www.jegs.com/images/photos/372E310.jpg |
