Thanks for the quick turn around N2Trux! Billet Specialties makes some GOOD LOOKING wheels. I wanted to buy some wheels this spring before I graduate from college. If I buy bs, I better wait until I make big boy money first...

Do you have any problems keeping the shine on your polished aluminum wheels?

This is my daily driver. It has a crate Vortec 350 with a 4sp. It's an '80, but I liked the earlier grille better. It's not all that special, but the dog and I like it.

Yes, I ***** and moan about them all the time. I DO NOT recommend billet wheels of any kind or a daily driver. They look awesome, but they are a total ***** to keep nice.

I have billet wheels from WELD on my truck. I found that I can clean them twice a year and with the use ofa metal sealant, they stay pretty clean for a long time. I use Mothers aluminum polish first to get the dirt and any discoloration out fo the metal, then I follow it with Mothers "Billet" polish. The final step is to treat the wheel with a meatl sealant, presently I am using one from WIZARDS products. This stuff keeps the dirt and the water from sitting in the pores of the aluminum and staining it.

Right now, I don't drive this truck daily but when I got the rims and first installed them, i did. The stuff I have been using works real well. I use it on other metals on my trucks. I also run a set of American Racing rims on my Daily Driver that are not a TRUE billet aluminum. They are a mixed metal base and the finish is harder to clean than a pure BILLET. I treat the rims the same and they stay shiney all the time. There is more work to a billet, BUT plastic coated rims sux big time in my world. Once you get a hole in the finish, they start turning nasty and you can't stop it.

Here's my new donor truck, which by the way is much nicer than my truck right now. I sold the rust-bucket and got this one for $800 with no running gear... Way better suited for my fabricating skills. Once finished, it will look much like "Colonel Mustard" in my sig, only shorter.

on a daily driver,i would stay away from billet.chrome is so much easier to keep clean.my wife's escape has 20 in.chrome's on it.it's just pretty much wipe and go,no polishing.and believe me when your anal about keeping your rig's clean and live in the rain forest like i do.you know about cleaning wheels;)

Notice the extra amber lights behind the grille, they make it look much cooler when it becomes dark outside.

This truck was purchased in October for mere $500 cause the engine was about to self-destruct, since then it sat for like 4 months, and starting March it is street-legal. I rebuilt the engine's bottom end in my living room, ported the heads at work, and redid the front brakes and brake lines in my carport. Truck can tow my roommate's Oldsmobile Intrigue while idling, and stops pretty much on a dime thanks to the hydroboost system off a 1-ton diesel Chevy. It currently awaits the installation of an Offenhauser dual-port intake and a Holley double-pumper 650cfm carb, and I also have a Holley Annihilator ignition box that I have no other use for so it might go in as well. It badly needs an exhaust system as right now 2000rpms is as high as I can go without blowing up my ear drums or waking up the whole neighborhood (runs on headers and dumps), I'm thinking a set of 2.5" pipes through Turbo mufflers and dumps before the rear axle will really wake up the engine.

drivers side did...pass side little trimming on the top frame rail. they fit alot better than the qtp big tubes i had on it. i had to trim frame rails on both sides. after i got rid of the qtps i got stainless works and they got so much room now. they dont even hit the areas i grounded for the qtps. the qtps were so close after i grounded.
the lsx swaps are so easy for these trucks. wiring harnesses are getting easier too.

Ohh hell yeah, the swap was a friggen cake walk. The harnesses are easy as all get out too. My complete swap was cheaper than buying a crate engine or building a new engine and keeping the ol th350.

Heres my baby of 27 years of age, Scotty is a 1978 c10 with a 305 that i built(thinking it was a 350)yet it still burns nasty rubber, because the owner of the engine before did an awesome job building and letting it sit for 3 years lol.I love working on it and cant wait to get it done.I just recently dropped the front. And dont mind the thin tires they are my bro's drift tires lol.

terryks tht dash is amazing looks to be a corvette dash for tha main part then a 57 belair for the main instrument cluster. Very nicly done make me what to do it to my truck but getting a rust free 57 belair dash is hard. Have one but it for my 57 tho. once again very cool idea.

oh it a 59 dang still looks like what i said to me any way.
