That bed is sexy! I am curious as to how your wheel tubs will look. I chopped mine at the base and had to cope my wood bed around it. I have a raised bed floor at the same height as yours but I didnt know there was a top mount rear wheel tub that was short enough to work.

Hey Fabian , could I see a picture of the dash / gauges unlit as you would look at them from the driver’s seat and from outside looking in? I'm trying to decide if I want to go the same route. By the way, I love your progress on this truck. I love how you used CLR to remove the rust then keep the Patina, great idea! This truck is being done so right. Keep it up!

Nice work Fabian didnt know you have this truck as well as Sancho. If you dont mind me asking why didnt you redo Sancho your self. Looks like you have the talent too. Both very nice trucks for sure.

Some smaller updates ... we work step by step on the assembly on the truck. Small parts here and there are missing, witch really take time to order these in the US, get these all sent over.

It is coming really nicly together ...

Thanks!
Well this is very simple ... t2 reasons.
to built a truck here in Germany is a lot of logistics. There are no parts available here for US cars. So every bolt I need to buy in the US, and as for example where we are now we miss here a bolt, there new lenses for a rear lamp, etc ...

This is a lot of time you need to invest and of course lots of money for shippng these parts.

2nd
Del is really the C10 man I think to built a truck and he has helped me a lot to built this one here with help pn parts, Ideas questions. I have great respect for his built and skills and I just need to have a propper "built by Del" truck - and yes, this will be most likly not my last built by him.

But I am really lookging forward to have both done soon ... Sancho will be running hopefully the next days and soon to drive to some shows in the US.

Re: Project '64 C-10 Truck - built in Germany

Here is the next steps for the next weeks … We really had problems in fitting the gas tank that nate built, unfortunally we could not fit it and had to get it re-built and pressure test it, etc … so this one will be done by Monday and get this built in and also hook up the fuel lines.
Also as we smoothend the firewall, we did not think about to test fit the pedal assembly, so we will have to get this a bit shortened and will built it in next week together with the next ididit steering column. We still are also working to get the harness all done and get the gauges hooked up. We still need to wire the complete FAST harness, but his is really a pain in the ass, as the instructions do not match the parts, etc – but we will find our way through.
Still waiting on the BilletSpecialties pully kit, valve covers, etc … so the engine is also getting finished. Still need some little parts, like starter, bolts, new interior, etc…
So still a lot work, but we are slowly getting there.

Hope you enjoy the built up!

Fabian

If it is ready for the Brothers Show, you should try and make it. Its a good show. Both trucks are going to be very nice side by side for sure.
