69trk that is a nice looking truck. Just seen you live in bridgecreek I also live in bridgecreek. I'm building a twin turbo 70 swb now. But have a long way to go. Do you ever take it to the car shows in tri city when they have them?

Re: ls turbo build

Nothing to much to see yet but when i get something to look at i will let you know. Haha. I dropped the motor and transmission in for fitment and set the cab back on it so I can figure out where to mount the computer. Got the wiring harness all broken apart to build my own.. once that gets done then the frame goes for sand blasting and powered coating. Got rust to fix on the cab . I like the way your truck looks tho. .

Have any videos of it running?

Re: ls turbo build

Heck no...Street manners are great, and with just 5lb springs in it for now, it will boil these 275 et streets at 60mph.... feels like a high 10sec. truck already.. guessing around 500 to the tires... pulls harder than the old big block. . Still learning the laptop. Still have a few small bugs to work out, then I'm charging the ac system, and I'll probably put a muffler on it. The drone in the cab will drive passengers nuts:)

Re: ls turbo build

I do have a video, but if I load it up from my phone, it takes forever, and ends up not loading. I need to get it on the computer and load it on here. Guess phone videos don't work on this site?

A turbo LS C-10 meet could be fun. There seems to be more and more of them popping up.

69trk 08-09-2016 11:00 AM

Re: ls turbo build

Thanks.. didn't make it to cash days.... already hurt the motor... but I'm building a forged 6.0 to go back in it

Re: ls turbo build

how it going? i thru mine together in 20 days for tail gate cash days, didnt do well but it got me motivated to gdt it running.

69trk 11-15-2016 11:17 PM

Re: ls turbo build

Awesome.... got the new 6.0 installed. Just need to finish buttoning everything up. Decided to buy a meth kit instead of running e85. Not enough gas stations have e85.

prostreet1967 11-16-2016 03:03 AM

Re: ls turbo build

yea 93 is nice I'm gonna try e85 for a bit n push the limits then may go back n use 93 n Meth. hard to drop money on Meth kit when I can get e85 with a few clicks. what ended up failing on ur engine.

Hurt 2 pistons. Didn't have it tuned right. But I will have someone tune it this time...
