Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban
I had to get a shorter tire because I couldnt use these on the front with the slosh tubz. I ended up changing to a 255 35 and now I dont have prooblems.

J/K What most people don't realize,... you also have to be able to "turn" these wheels left and right,... INSIDE the fenders, because your new ride height is so low. (you no longer turn thru the wheel opening) Believe me,... you will feel the tire rubbing the "inside of the fender" if you turn too far. |

Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban
The spec I'm looking for would be to get a better ride. After rereading your thread, you got porter built. I don't. Maybe that's why mime rids like crap..lol SO what shocks are you riding on? Also what size is you motor.. Thank ugly p

Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban
Been busy at work latley so I havent gotten much done. I picked up a big air tank, all my air tubing and new fuel tubing yesterday so I will start getting those run next.
Today I made some filler panels for the front fenders. Its kind of hard to tell in the pictures but they have the same size and profile as the factory ones. The factory ones just looked bad from where I cut them. Hopefully they will never be noticed once they are finished. I will get them painted when we re-paint the fenders. http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/...psed278540.jpg |
Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban

Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban
I got the airline tubing run and I think I am going to have to add some kind of heat shield to protect them from the heat coming off the headers.

looks good to me!

Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban
x2, and i cant wait to install all my goodies to get it sitting as low and looking 1/3 as good as yours, gotta finish building part of the rear floor so i can move my battery back there among a list of other things haha
|
Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban
I was trying to keep as much of my original floor as possible. It sure would have made things easier to just make a new one. Still gotta get the gas tank figured out too.
|
Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban
lol, i hacked mine to pieces early in the build when i first started the rear in getting it notched
|
Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban
Sweet burb!!
