This will help identify the piece should you come across one Don. Heres the pic of the custom cab back trim. I have taken numbers and measurements in case anyone else comes across one (how to identify it) or decided to make one. They are hard to find, and no one reproduces them. Anyway, they haven't been installed yet, so i figured id document them. The center piece is just shy of 63 1/4" long and 3/4" wide with a rolled back edge and a slight curve to the face. The clips are 5/8" and place as follows...from left to right 1 1/2", 11 1/2", 21 1/2", 31 1/2", 41 1/2", 51 1/2", 61 1/2".

Also a pic of the back of the sail panels where the trim covers them.

Thanx for the detailed info Brotha!!! :metal:

I have some sail panels and am kicking around a few ideas on tying them together somehow… ;)

Not much new. Late off work and raining anyways. Did get the fender extensions undercoated and have the NOS antennae pulled out for install. So planning on that tonight. Calling for more rain tonight, so hood will probably have to wait until tomorrow to finish stripping.

Most of the weekend was spent out in the garden which is around 50 x 20. Did get some time on the hood Sunday. Up to around 6 hours total in stripping and dent repair, but coming along very nice. Should have the stripping done in another hour or so.

Also ended prepping another driver fender extension. The original antennae that was on the truck when I got it appears to be wrong, and when I tried installing a NOS 63 antennae the angles are way off. The old hole was too high forward making the antennae lean in heavy towards the hood. So....took out another one I had, clean & prepped it. Used a factory template and will paint it when I do the hood. New antennae fits great now.
This one was the original to my 63 fleetside and once I started stripping the original dark green starts to show....and the color is growing on me. May have to do the fleetside in the original 505A dark green color. The truck pictured is suppose to be woodland green.

Also picked up a smaller unity CH-H1 this weekend. The unity s-6 is nice, but a much larger spotlight and I think the smaller one looks more proportioned to the truck. I'll have to swap the head over to the correct size shaft which I have. But these are hard to find. The correct original would have the round back (Unity CH) and this one has the mirror back, but I'll keep looking for the round back in the mean time.

Passenger side was the norm and the way the factory sent them. Dealer or owner could install on either side. I'm sticking with driver side so I don't have to redo the passenger side as well.

I an provide a template if you need one.

Thanks Tj. The green is really nice. I'd have to see a paint sample in person 1st though before I commit to it. And hood will be done this week.

Tropical storm over us all weekend, but did get the single speed wiper motor replaced on Saturday with an original 63 2 speed and with washer option thanks to Austin for the extra hands.

Also got the unity ch h1 spotlight installed on the 12" shaft and ready for install

Yeah....I've actually began to like painting. Just don't like all the work that leads up to it.

I am liking the progress. I really like the green for the other truck. That has always been one of my favorite colors on these trucks.

Thanks Eric....as usual my progress is sporadic. Some days are just better than others for getting stuff done.

The woodland green is really growing on me. Thinking two tone with some white......

Austin and I did find that a big truck 2 speed wiper will work on a c-10. Only difference was the wiper transmission arm. The big truck linkage index's different than the c10s do. I have posted pics of the difference in the two. The wiper motor is indexed correct for the c10 and you can see how the big truck linkage index's 90* off and is quite a bit longer.

But anyways. We now have 2 speeds and wiper washer option. Just thought I'd show the difference in the motors to save someone else the headache in case they source a good motor from a large truck.
