Thanks, had to modify on my router table to get them to function, plastic lens had to be reworked, to light as OEM.

Nice billet alum. piece from Marquez, still have to buy 2 more for the rear

sorry for the delay, went to upstate NY to do some snowmobiling for the week, still very sore after 12 hour rides, well not exactly 12 hours, quite a few bars in
between.....

problems with the location of the remote oil fill, rethink

but I did make some progress on the twin stick mount, cut the hole three times and its still short on the throw, last cut clears, you have to have at least 1 1/2" from plate to the front of the stock hole to clear in high gear

Bummer.

If there's any room to raise the shifters UP a little bit they will work with a smaller through-hole.

I remember playing that same game with the shifters on my Atlas-4. I wanted them to all line up with a common pivot point (OCD-type issues!) but AA doesn't set up their brackets that way....

-G, thanks for stopping by and the advice, gave up on the shifters lining up. Went with the trans mount from Locar. worried that any body roll would kick my trans outta gear

Heard from Kurt lately, gotta give him a shout, hav'nt heard from him in a month or two

next purchase is alum. atlas trans. case 2/1, and drive shaft brake.
thanks for posting a link to your build, lost you for a while, very entertaining, great work, over the top build

waiting for Locar to send me my 8" straight handle, probably 2 weeks out yet

do you know which shifter is front and rear?

can't raise them up, located by the pivot bolt

Hey Jim,

I stop by frequently to check on progress here.. :). Seems like you have things well in hand, so I usually just keep quiet and enjoy the pics.

Kurt is around, seems like he is busy with his new business venture and spending time skiing with his kids....

Greg, well in had is a matter of opinion lol, there are days I start to look at the whole project and become overwhelmed by the scope of things left unfinished

Greg, could you contact Kurt and let him know I lost my phone and his phone number, will be in touch after my son sends me his I phone and learn how to use it... Thanks

Thanks for posting up, feel like I'm talking to myself sometimes

Yeah, Zicc it is a hoot to go 85 MPH across a frozen lake with the wind blowing you sideways, trails are a different story, up and down, right and left, sorta like driving a sports car on back country roads, only a much shorter sports car lol. My body ached for 5 days after

Wish we got the snow fall down here like the Adirondacks, something like 4 feet of base

we do police ourselves on the drinking, but at the cabin its a different story

Thanks for checking up with me, I'll try to move forward

Great job on painting your frame, that is slick zicc

Looks good Jim hopefully those hoses don't get to much in the way of getting the filter off. Cant wait to see how that hood works out.

Thanks Bud for checking out my build, hope I haven't bored you to death, I know it's a long read

Looks like enough clearance, and the hoses now enter through the front of the engine, keeping them away from the exhaust, as much as possible

don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight, as the hoods been a month and a half process

[QUOTE=hemi43;7861264]Hmmmm.... Something ain't right !! You sure that's not a Bronco hood ??[/QUOT

His web site claims 68-72, and we all know that the break is 67, 68 and 69-72, there in lays the problem. I have a 68 front end

Guess I'll start looking for a 70 front end or do some fiberglass work

fit and gaps are great along the sides and back, have drop off my cowl panel to be painted to be sure it fits well on the back

Re: PO has me PO'd

chasing gaps....getting closer, at least I don't have to deal with itchies. think it needs a top bar, like a GMC

Well, it's a repro of the eagles/venture hood made in your area, mold made from a original hood in your neck of the woods, Autofab. If you need more info, I'll look it up

thanks jess, sent him a pm. what section were they in, didn't see them

Re: PO has me PO'd

Jim,
That looks like a good deal if he still has them. you probably should hold off coming down this way until you make sure about those. I think i read that your 68 core support will work with the 69-72 fenders and hood but you have to add the 69 up headlight mounting brackets to your support. 67/8 headlights attached direct to the support. If he wants $200 for all of it I would snag the support as well if you dont already have the headlight buckets.

Richard

Sherwin-Williams version of the anniversary gold, spray out, think I am headed in this direction. will have to replace my 68 front end with a 70-72.

both green and gold have a metallic finish, cowl should be finished when I return from my fishing trip
