Crumley, nice truck! What is your tire/lift combo? I really like that stance.:metal:

The paint used on the truck is PPG Chrysler Blue. The GM factory color is medium blue.

Yes the shop is mine. It is 40' x 60' (not big enough) in the side yard. Its nice to be able to go out and work on a project and leave everything sitting and turn the lights off and lock the door. Beats the heck out of watching t.v.

Wideside72; don't dis-spare. Here is a photo that invokes sadness. Didn't seem so at the time but now does. The neighbors dog got his head caught in the passenger side light bezel. Of course the neighbors are rescue fire fighters an went after the radiator support with a Herst tool (jaws of life).Attachment 550040 bushy
By the way great photo of Mt. Shasta and that string of gems.

Just got done redoing my front gill and painting the inside of the engine bay. I know how much everyone likes pics, so here you go:

Painted the insert gloss black and buffed out the aluminum
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...9/100_3188.jpg

I had just got done washing the truck, so there are a lot of spots and yes there are still some scratches, but for those of you who have done this, you know what a big pain it is.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

The steering wheel is just a cheap grant from oreillys, the air cleaner is a k&n xtreem air flo top, painted firewall & fenders when motor was out, and inner fenders are new,as is the core support, painted them in my garage! still need to do the underside of the hood and master cylinder.

Cant believe that i just sat here and looked thru all 113 pages. Havent been on this board in a few years. I was dying for a 67-72 a few years back as my first truck, but i settled for an 86 K10. That truck is long gone now and i think its safe to say i caught the bug again! Im graduating college in May and shortly thereafter i'll be on the lookout for a 67-68 4x4 to do up. Not that anyone cares... LOL
Anyway, those are some beautiful trucks, reason for every one of you guys to be proud.

I've been a member for a few months, here's my '69 C/10 I picked up a few months ago. It's pretty straight, one dent in the right rear bedside and the grille and front bumper are rough, otherwise only a little surface rust. It's been in Vegas since new.

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...DSCN1131-1.jpghttp://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...DSCN1132-1.jpg

It had been sitting for 23 years! Put a little gas down the carb, threw in a battery, put a little oil in the cylinders and the little 250 6 cylinder fired right up.

I've since rebuilt the carb, pulled the tank and cleaned it, replaced the fuel pickup, replaced the plugs and wires, and tuned up the distributor. It's running good now I need the tackle the brakes and replace the tires so I can get it smog tested and registered.

I wish the trucks here only had surface rust.

Great score! What are your plans once it is drivable? That looks like just the kinda truck I would drive as is. Is it a 3 on the tree?

Thanks. It is a 3 on the tree.

Plans are to just get it drivable for now and use it to commute the 4 miles each way to work. I don't know what it will evolve into, there are so many nice trucks on here giving me ideas I could easily get carried away. I've got an '84 C10 stuffed in the garage that I'm tearing into right now, but I found this and couldn't pass it up.

yep, $1200. i am in love with this body style, and i saw it sittin in someones yard so i stopped and talked to the old man and he said 1500 would take her, and i pulled 1200 out of my wallet in cash and he took it..drove the ole gal home that night. my Girl calls her Delilah. here is what im puttin on it: new water pump, brake booster, master cylinder, holley 570 carb, weiand action plus intake manifold, hooker headers, and im thinkin i may go with a mild 270's cam..new pistons and rings already in her, new main bearings and caps, oil pan, oil pump, and a holley 90gph fuel pump. hopefully she will be a hoss. only had 211.62 hp at 4000rpms on the dyno..i will get some pics of the interior soon. its all original and the seat isnt even torn..all leather
