Re: PO has me PO'd
seems like we all have had that conversation at some point .....if the fenders are as good as they look in the pics this is no coincidence that they are 15 minutes up the road and priced right... grab the core support too ... your 67-68 stuff is worth more than what your paying for the 69-72 stuff if i didn't have another 68 nose in stock id make you whole ...heck your grill is worth at least 150. ill shut up now, I gave more than my 2 cents:) good luck on negotiations :)

Re: PO has me PO'd
Picked up my cowl panel from the paint shop
https://c1.staticflickr.com/4/3850/3...d670cc5a_c.jpg[url=https://flic.kr/p/SsuiSx]20170304_111242 working on the top bar off of a GMC, might work yet, without buying fenders. Having a problem with my hood to cowl seal, mine is formed with a 90 degree bend and pushes up on the hood, seems like I need a seal that is formed with a 60 degree bend, after market is not always what they are cracked up to be, search continues https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/629/33...96869172_c.jpg[url=https://flic.kr/p/SpENEa]20170302_124457 |

Re: PO has me PO'd
My seal was like that also, but the hood actually will push the seal over because the hood comes down at a rearward angle. I would fit the hood then install the seal.

thanks for the advise, will give it a go....

Re: PO has me PO'd
Was talking to LKS DCVN the other day and he was asking about my stone guards on my Halogen lights, so I found out that they fit inside mounting rings with a little mod., had to cut two wires that were interfering with the glass protrusions on the sealed beam. Just used my small dremel with a cutoff wheel, you can see it at the third horizontal row. The third one sits directly on a space in the mesh
they sit tight with about 1/4" space to the head light https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2941/3...813de7b3_c.jpg[url=https://flic.kr/p/S5ygQH]20170327_112131 |

That front clip looks good, I like the rock guards as well...one of those things that might not get noticed by many folks but really sets the front end apart.

Ditto that...loving all the recent progress and pics. Keep it coming!

Re: PO has me PO'd
Wow, was starting to get disheartened, glad you guys posted up....
mounted my bowtie on the grille today, not sure if there is a top and bottom perfect patina to match my truck, also played around with my bed side rails, but I'm not sure if I'm junking up the truck. sorta like adding another window to the taj mahal, you guys let me know |

Re: PO has me PO'd
Hey Jim, jmo but I'm not a fan of the side rails maybe if it were part amphibious you know some place to tie it off too. Lol. I also love the tpi setup use to have two GTA trans am. Thanks for the pics

Always liked the look of the TPI, but if the FI works, I'll change it out for a englese or hilabrandt Bill, thanks for bringing that up, I've been on the fence with that one. And, you're right, doesn't quite fit the direction I want to go. Good thing I didn't buy that NOS set that is available Maybe, I should have built an Amphicar Well, back to work on the throttle bracket, weird, my kick down cable only moves 3/4" and my throttle cable moves 2" |

my ashtray kept falling out due to the plastic rails broken, went to my spare center section I bought years ago, and it had good rails. 4 Phillip screws later, all excess able from the front bottom, and my ashtray doesn't fall out any more. it is easier if the radio is removed [url=https://flic.kr/p/TE8NYj]https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2819/3...7d5399f8_c.jpg you can see the threads of the two screws on the left side of the bracket (top and bottom) Maybe Wes will see this and will work for his next project |

some of the handy work of the PO, some people shouldn't have access to tools, but luckily the mounting buckets cover 2/3 of the hole |

https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4194/3...68a970f4_c.jpg[url=https://flic.kr/p/UmGGny]20170502_09461 I have to build a kick down cable adapter, and figure out how to hook it up, then on to the cruise control [url=https://flic.kr/p/UmGBTo]https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2835/3...f3bb2c56_c.jpg put the last plug in the cooling system, time to fire up the electric w/p.
