The next 3 pics are of a 1967 Nova, that was just finished, as about 200 miles on it. Has a Detroit Speed front end, Heidt's IRS in the back, and runs a LS3 for engine. Really nice car...Jim

Good looking car.

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build
Jim, I read back where you were fixing from your deer incident. Where did you get your chrome grille? I bought my first one from Brothers, but after speaking with them yesterday they have about 10 suppliers so I'm in no way guaranteed it comes from the same place as the first so I'm looking at options. Thanks!

Jim, I thought you'd appreciate this one seen at a local event. I don't know if he has a top for it or not.

Hey everyone, just been enjoying my truck this summer. I've put on about 1800 miles since June, just going to cruise in and running around town. Tops been off since late June, weather has been hot and and humid, but I love the top off. Went to a car show this morning with a couple friends, first since the nationals. Here are a few pics.
1st pic. Just driving north to Cabool, Mo. about 45 miles up the road. 2nd pic. My truck, next to Glens 62 wagon and Danny's 49 custom. 3rd pic. Another shot of Danny's 49 4th pic. Engine in Danny's 49 is a 392 Imperial hemi. 5th pic Suicide doors and bright red interior. |

At lot of the same cars at this show that I've posted before, but here's a couple I hadn't seen before.
1st pic. 56 Nomad, very nice car 2nd pic. 40 plymouth truck 3rd pic. Nice square body 4th pic. Nice Jeep truck. Funny thing on the way home. I had my cruise set at 70 mph, I could see the jeep truck out in front of me. After several minutes I caught up with him and was passing, he decided to run right beside me, so I slowly put mine up to 80 and he backed way off. I slowed back to 70 but lost sight of him in my mirror. I don't mine people NOT wanting me to pass them, but I don't like running side by side, to many things can go wrong....Jim |
Re: My 50 roadster pickup build
great stuff jim. my wife thinks I think I am in a "truman show" universe with how many drivers irritate me on the road, but my kids know how to plan an escape route while driving, so the good and bad haha
funny how much better the plymouths and dodges look with the headlights inboard like that instead of on top of the fender. |
Re: My 50 roadster pickup build

Saturday a small group of car friends got together, and drove down to North Fork dam to have dinner. It was a nice day for a ride in the old cars on some curvey roads. The trip was about 135 miles round trip. Here's a few pics...Jim
