Well Sunday morning I installed my new front suspension. I installed new upper and lower control arms, air bags and new 2" dropped spindles all from CPP. I also got the rear end re-installed with new trailing arms and drilled and slotted rotors and new posi unit etc. Also got my new wheels from Race Line with new BFG KDA's. I will post some pictures in the next days or so. Hoping to get the new LS3 installed this next weekend!

I drove it to the body shop thats going to do my rust repair to get my parts list in order and bought a perfect original Fleetside tailgate to go on it when its time. Now I have a spare if something happens later on down the road. Looks like my truck will be rust free very soon.

I installed an OG 69 Guide Right side turn signal lens that I found on eBay. The old one was broken and then patched up with epoxy that yellowed.
I put a cigarette lighter into the socket. I bought a lighter assembly that came from a GMC from tll74 on this here site. I needed a lighter to fill the empty hole in the dash. It matches my Chebby just fine. |

Replace a bad exhaust/intake gasket on my 250 L6. There was an exhaust leak that sounded terrible. I repainted my shorty headers since they were off.

I have made my own from junk yard donor parts when I couldn't get a new one to fit my needs. Cut off the sleeve type seal from the donor part and weld it to the original O-ring type tube. You have to cut some length off of the original tube to seat the seal properly and get the right fluid level reading. |
Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Pulled the tired 350 and 465 trans out of my stepside this afternoon. Also sprayed down the engine bay and un bolted the radiator support. Makin some progress!
